This is by far the BEST dealership experience I have ever had. I am currently leasing a Toyota RAV4 from another dealership (also from the DCH group), and never thought the day would come that I would actual had. I am currently leasing a Toyota RAV4 from another dealership (also from the DCH group), and never thought the day would come that I would actually buy a new car. My wife and I were looking for a "commuter car." We already had a primary vehicle and we considered buying a used vehicle or leasing another one. At DCH Academy Michael Serra and his sales manager, Ruben Arcila, laid out the numbers for leasing or buying a new '11 Civic. Throughout the whole process we NEVER felt pressured. They were open to negotiating and were more interested in getting us in a car than squeezing every penny from us, and in the end we settled for buying new. We settled on getting a Civic LX, nothing fancy or chock-full of unnecessary add-ons. The only features we were ASKED about and OFFERED were the etching and remote starter, but we were never pushed to buy the glow-in-the-dark cup holders or the hand-massaging shifter-knob. Michael Serra has got to be the most effective sales person I have ever met. Through the whole process it felt that he was on our side. I know these guys learn and practice various sales techniques, but none of these were at any point deceptive. My wife also works in sales, and never did she detect any red flags. The finance manager, Tian Reid, handled the final phase of the sale. Tian was extremely friendly and patient with us. He took his time explaining everything we were signing for. It is always advisable to visit multiple dealerships and shop around before buying a car, but if you are looking for a Honda, consider yourself lucky that a dealership like this exists. Within 24hrs (two visits) we completed our search for a new car. We thought this was going to take days (if not weeks) of unnecessary back-and-forth with the sales staff but we were wrong. The experience was extremely memorable. The names given in this review are all from memory, if that says anything. I look forward to the day I need another car. I will, without a doubt, go to DCH Academy Honda before considering another manufacturer or dealership, even if my budget allows for that Maserati GranTurismo I've been wanting. More
I went to DCH Academy in Old Bridge not planning to purchase a car right away. I had been saving up for a car for quite some time, so the purpose of my trip was to shop around and look for the best dea purchase a car right away. I got a price over the internet and travelled beyond the nearest dealer to test drive. I told them we would make a decision tonight (Saturday) and be back in on Monday (they are closed Sunday). At first they told me they would give me the same price Monday even though prices were going up immediately b/c of Japan troubles. Right before I left, the manager came and said they would not honor the price Monday. Same car would be $800 more. IT'S ALREADY ON THE LOT!!! Ridiculous. And, I would have come back...it wasn't a bait and switch on my part. But now I won't. More

I went to Academy Honda because a friend of mine had purchased 2 vehicles there in the past. Also, I was interested in the Honda CR V and wanted to get a look and possibly a test drive. My salesman, M purchased 2 vehicles there in the past. Also, I was interested in the Honda CR V and wanted to get a look and possibly a test drive. My salesman, Mr. Sam Beshay, was very nice, informative and I felt no pressure to buy. He explained all the features of the vehicle, asked if I wanted a test drive and informed me about certain features. I wound up buying a car on the spot which was not my intention. After hearing the facts and also that I would qualify for .9% financing and this deal was over 3/31/2011. I took advantage of that and zero down, and I am very happy with my purchase and I feel confident that I made the right decision and that Honda will stand by me in case I need help with anything. The staff in general and Mr. Beshay in particular was very professional, helpful and I had a great experience. More

David was honorable, friendly, considerate, professional, and dependable. When I called, David answered quickly. He was available via email and I could depend on him to be helpful. I would easily give David an A+. He was every thing I could hope for as a car salesperson. DCH Honda - not so much. They were a bit slow processing paperwork. Unless David did the work, it did not get done. As far as I could tell, the dealership didn't do anything to help with the transaction except take my money. I paid upfront to have the car transported back to Idaho. When that didn't happen quickly enough, I setup the auto transport myself. It took the dealership almost 3 weeks to return my money. That seemed excessive to me. When you are dealing with an organization remotely, you need that dependability and trust factor to be a high priority. I would rate DCH Honda a C-, below average. Thankfully with David as my contact, I can give the transaction a solid B all around. More
