So I recently had two issues with Toyota Prius. First, the cable to unlatch the hood broke. Second, I was getting an intermittent red triangle on the dash (the red triangle is typically linked to t First, the cable to unlatch the hood broke. I took it into Toyota and they informed me that the diagnostics would cost $169. Seems a bit steep but worth it to have someone familiar with the vehicles take a look and solve the problem. I get a phone call letting me know that the cable is broken (Nevermind I had already told them it was broken). They proceed to tell me that it would be $511 to replace the cable. WHAT?!?!?! A quick google search lets me know that the cable can be purchased for $34 brand new. I tell them not to replace the cable. "What about the red triangle", I ask. They aren't sure what's causing the issue but they'd like to start by replacing the 12V battery. How much? $400!?!?! for a stinking 12V battery I can get for less than half the price anywhere else. I inform them I want the car back, go pick it up, and pay $169. I get home and do a quick google search on what causes an intermittent red triangle. After spending 5 minutes on the forums, I learn that being low on oil could cause this. So then I do a 5 minute YouTube search on how to pop the hood of the car open when the cable is broken. 30 minutes later I have the hood open. Sure enough, I'm low on oil (due to the age of the engine, it must be burning oil as I had not seen any leaks on my driveway). I give it more oil and take it for a spin. Voila! no more intermittent red light. I'll be purchasing the $34 cable and will be replacing it myself. DO NOT GO TO DCH TOYOTA in Freehold. They just want to cheat you and take your money! More

We dropped our 2017 Black Sequoia off to get detailed with a clay bar treatment. When I picked it up the paint looked like it did when we bought it. Every little scratch was removed. I was anxious to bring my car in due to the virus but I have to say the experience was positive. After getting out of my car in the service garage and speaking briefly with a very pleasant employee, I was directed to step inside. I found the door to the service desk was already open, making door touching not necessary, very thoughtful. Inside there were only 2 employees in a large space. Everyone was masked. Chairs were placed a good distance from the employees. TJ was great, coordinating my repair with the techs. And all was done under warranty! Left the car overnight and it was ready by 9:30am the next day. Keys and paperwork were in the car. Steering wheel and seat were covered with plastic. Thank you toyota for providing a safe and calm experience. More
