Your review has recently been brought to our attention and I would like to apologize for the inconvenience that occurred during your most recent Service Experience at Honda of Nanuet. It is not our practice or intention to provide misleading information to any of our customers. We sincerely hope that you could understand that when our highly skilled technicians perform a diagnostic on a vehicle, they do so with safety in mind first. While we do not condemn alternative after market shops, we are held to a higher standard as a Honda dealer and are very cautious when making decisions that affect the safety of our customers. Alternative solutions, such as resurfacing rotors, may be satisfactory for the time being, but here at Honda Of Nanuet we think of our customer’s safety as well as the long term well being of the vehicle. When resurfacing rotors, you risk thinning the rotor to a level below the manufacturer’s specifications, in turn creating a safety issue. When determining the best solution for your vehicle in terms of safety we took into consideration the extreme rusting as well as the age, miles and thickness of your rotors. Our pricing may vary from that of other shops due to the fact that we use Honda Genuine parts as oppose to after market parts that tend to be less expensive, but do not provide the same quality. At Honda of Nanuet, our work is also warranted for 1yr./12,000 miles at any Honda Dealer in the United States. Our Honda Certified Technicians are specifically trained to know the ins and outs of our Honda vehicles, therefore are more knowledgeable in terms of necessary repairs. Honda of Nanuet is proud to be part of the Penske Corporation, a publicly traded company. We apologize for your feeling mislead but we are a full disclosure company and hope that you understand our estimate of repairs was solely based on need and safety.
