This time for our college graduate's first "adult" purchase. Nader Awad could not have been more instructive to our daughter. He explained all the terms of the contract and educated her in the steps of purchasing a vehicle, answering all her questions with patience and professionalism. He's already followed up a few times to make sure she is happy with the vehicle. Take it from us, (people, who usually enters a dealership prepared to do battle), rest assured you can put the sword down. Our purchase was discussed with us not at us. Another pleasant experience. Loyal Customer of 10 Years Misled Will Not Return Let me start by saying I have been a loyal customer to DCH Kay Honda for the last 10 years having leased one pilot and three mini-vans from them. I a Let me start by saying I have been a loyal customer to DCH Kay Honda for the last 10 years having leased one pilot and three mini-vans from them. I also have a 2001 Accord that my husband and I bought new in Brooklyn...we have driven nothing but Hondas for the last 15 years. That will soon be changing thanks to the games and deception we were met with trying to lease two new cars yesterday. I am really in shock at how this dealership had no problem wasting two days of a loyal customers life jerking us around the way that they did. We had been receiving flyers in the mail to bring our minivan in for a trade-in so Thursday I went in and spoke with Stephen. Our experience with our last two minivan leases were OK. We went in, paid $0 out of pocket and walked out with a new van. The last time our payment even went down about $50. I explained that to Stephen and told him that in addition to the minivan I would like an Accord and I would like to see if I could get both of them for around $600 per month. We talked mileage, he showed me some items on a paper that he could remove to lower the cost and after appraising the minivan told me to come in with the 2001 Accord so he could appraise that as well. I assured him the 2001 would not be worth much and we discussed how it could possibly be worth $500 or $1000. He then told me he thinks we could do both cars for around the $600s. Let me also say that he had looked up the minivan's info so he was aware of how many payments were left on the vehicle. Friday, I proceed to bring my husband and three children into the DCH Kay Honda dealership. Stephen says he is now working with a partner on the deal and introduces us to Ray. Stephen was still very involved but now tells me he cannot get us anywhere near the $600s. The price of the two cars went from $600s to $900s. He had all of the same information the day before! He tried to blame it on the Accord's low appraisal but it came in exactly where we discussed the day before! He then began trying to convince me to take just the new Accord for $250. My husband and I started discussing whether we should just walk out at that point since we had been so severely misled but we figured we'd see if we could work out a deal with just the Accord. Stephen went back and forth several times with the manager (I hate this process!) and came back and said if we took the new Accord with lower mileage he could get us into it for $200 but we needed to commit to him so we told him we would take it for $200 per month. Stephen's shift was over so Ray, his partner, was going to finish the deal with us. Stephen assured us we were "all on the same page" before he left. At this point, Ray goes over to the manager and comes back over to us and says he doesn't know how he can get us into the car for under $300???? How does this happen???? My husband and I looked at each other, turned around and I told Ray that I couldn't believe they were willing to lose loyal customers by giving us such a runaround and wasting our time. I assured him we wouldn't be back and we won't. If the numbers are what they are that is fine but don't mislead customers if you can't deliver what you are offering. I am still stunned that they would treat customers of ten years this way. Steer clear of this place and avoid the headache. More
Best Place to buy a car I was looking for a new HR-V. I am one that if I say this is what I want. I don't want to be up-sold to. Meaning. If I say I want an LX Model and I ask you if I come in and you have one for me to test drive and you say yes, and I get there and you really don't have what I asked for. I will walk out. And I did, several times. When I called, Kay Honda, they told me the truth that they only had the ex version and were hoping for a new shipment tonight. Susan Antonios emailed me next day and let me know what I looked for was available. Very nice, I walk in with my wife, and she seats me with Steve Simon. Before leaving she actually gets my wife and I some water and tea and ask if she can do anything else. Wow, right there. Now Steve a congenial gentleman who made us feel comfortable right from the start. We took the test drive, had a new car prepped. The car came off the transport truck that night before. He made us feel very good about purchase and he is taking care of accessory orders for us. Pat Connelly was the finance person, we only spent a short time with him but took care of the other necessary things we ordered, even calling Lojack to make a home visit so we wouldn't have to come in. This is the way car buying should be. No pressure, can call for honest answer, and get treated very well in the process. I will shop here again and recommend you do to. More

My air conditioning was working intermittently and I read of a possible warranted compressor clutch failure. I expected other fees included with repair however, that was not the case. The car was ready for pick up that day at no charge. The staff was courteous and fully explained before and after pick up. I will continue buying and servicing our cars from DCH Kay Honda. Thanks! We obtained an instant trade value for my son's current car via a link on their website to Autotrader before driving 65 miles to the dealership. We met with David Gutkind and took a test drive. After the test drive we told David we would take the car if DCH Kay Honda honored the Instant Cash Offer that we had obtained on the Internet. After the manager examined the trade-in, DCH Kay Honda gave us slightly more than the Instant Cash Offer for the trade-in. There was no need to haggle over the purchase price or the trade-in value. David politely offered us add-ons for window etching, fabric protection and nitrogen filled tires which we declined without feeling pressured to purchase the add-ons. The whole process took slightly over 2 hours on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. I would definitely consider DCH Kay Honda in the future when looking for a new Honda or a used car. More
