Tried negotiating a used Acura TLX over text and had the misfortune of dealing with Gilbert. When asked a direct question about whether a specific VIN was factory Acura Precision Certified or just standard misfortune of dealing with Gilbert. When asked a direct question about whether a specific VIN was factory Acura Precision Certified or just standard used, he tried to gaslight me by saying "if it's an Acura it's going to be certified because we are Acura." This is completely false as dealerships sell uncertified used cars all the time. When I sent a screenshot straight from the official national Acura certified website proving him wrong, he ignored my text for MINUTES. It wasn't until I texted and asked to be passed on to a different person in his department, he miraculously replied in a snap and immediately got defensive and started dodging the question, refusing to give a straight answer while aggressively trying to fish for my personal info AGAIN. If you want a transparent buying experience without being lied to about warranty status, dealt with defensively, and ghosted on out-the-door pricing, go to a different salesperson or a different dealership entirely. Gilbert plays too many deceiving games. More
