Regretful buyer I have recently purchased a vehicle from Della Honda and I would never do business with them again and I urge anyone who is considering going to this I have recently purchased a vehicle from Della Honda and I would never do business with them again and I urge anyone who is considering going to this dealership to look away before you end up regretting it as much as I do. I traveled hours to their dealership based on what I was told by there sales rep on the phone and was told the car was never driven in the snow and was a garaged kept vehicle. The vehicle I regretfully purchased has less then 30,000 miles on it. Everything looked great on paper until the lies started shedding light. In the owners manual in the vehicle it showed the car was indeed driven in the snow something there maintenance people should have seen or at least been honest about. Not only that but there are numerous of spots on the vehicle that was hidden under all that shine and gloss they do that shows rust spots bubbling under the paint. This car is not in the shape they stated it was in. So what did they do about it, nothing but insult any attempts I tried to make the situation a win/win for both parties including paying for every mile I put on the car to drive it home and back to there dealership since I hadn't driven it since I got it home and brought into the garage and seen the "proof in the pudding" as one would say. I also offered to pay all the processing fees to return this vehicle back to them. They said NO but I could bring it back and they would use the trade in value of the car towards another car on their lot! Trade in value!! Are you kidding me! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. So needless to say I am stuck paying for a vehicle thats going to cost me thousands of dollars to repair and thats just the body work thats not including whats going on with the noises I hear every time I steer the car to the left and right! Stay away from Della Honda and save yourself money and aggravation. If anyone from Della Honda tries to discredit this review, keep in mind that I have proof of every email correspondence and lots of pictures to back this up. More

Let me explain... I went to Della on a Monday with a vehicle picked out. I showed up to the dealership, checkbook and title for trade-in in hand. I was the eager buyer you're not supposed to be. For a trade-in which Kelly Blue Book valued at $10,000, I was offered $7200. I fully understand that rarely, if ever, are you going to get what KBB rates your vehicle. I attempted to negotiate but the manager, Terry, refused to budge, only upping is offer to $7500, which was insulting. I caught Terry in a couple lies: (1) He said they wouldn't be able to sell my vehicle because of the high mileage (85,000), when in fact he has similar vehicles on the lot with significantly higher mileage (100,000+), and (2) He said my car would not go for much more than $7500 at auction but could not produce one single piece of evidence to support that claim. Because the salesman Mike was actually kind and helpful, I phoned back the next day and worked out a tentative deal for a different vehicle. I showed up to inspect the vehicle and was surprised to find it had what I considered flaws: (1) Dents and scratches to front bumper and rear bumper (2) interior upholstery stairs (3) Corroded / rusted sliding door (4) Interior defects to cup holder , and (5) and significant tire wear (6/32) in rear tires. This vehicle was price higher than the KBB average and I asked for some play in the price. Mark and Terry bother refused to budge on the sales price by a single penny, but magically were able to offer $8500 for my trade. They refused to throw in all weather matts instead or even rear ties. Nothing. No negotiating in good faith. Only no's. I am a foster parent and because my family is expecting another baby in our family from foster care, we needed a van immediately; Terry and Mark knew this and exploited my situation, no doubt. Della Honda is the only Honda dealership within hours, and because of the lack of competition, they're able to squeeze their customers and not negotiate in good faith. I have purchased multiple cars, mainly Subaru's, and have never left with a new vehicle feeling so disgusted If there was any way I could have waited I would have but again, desperate for van to hold my growing family, I was forced to make a preposterously bad deal. I will never return to this dealership for anything. Not only will I not recommend it to anyone, I am going it make an effort to post this negative review on as many sites as possible and spread the word about their shady business practices. Mark and Terry should be ashamed of themselves and the dealership they represent. More

I have confidence in this dealership My most recent visit was for a couple of glitches in my Pilot.. My car was taken at the scheduled time. There is no real pattern to the sequence, but my tail gate sometimes goes up (when asked to) and then immediately beeps and comes down. Of course it never does this when I'm there! Nor does it always do so. In addition, I seem to have lost full connection with my iPhone. They tried everything in their arsenal to correct this and after a call to Honda HQ they learned that Honda is working on an update for this. It seems that the frequency of the iPhone updates is hard to keep up with! I can understand that. The waiting area is comfortable and based on the questions they came out to ask me, it was obvious they were doing everything possible to correct the issues above. It should be noted that I don't like the question below which forces me to choose between my salesperson and service technician. The salesman I dealt with in buying this car was excellent!!! After spending much time helping to secure the vehicle I wanted at the price I requested , he came and picked me up at another dealersh expectations. I have a 2003 Honda CR-V and my mother has a 2006 Honda Pilot. My mother purchased the Pilot from Della Honda in Plattsburgh and has had it serviced there many times because of the warranty. The fact that we were repeat customers may come as a shock after reading how the service department at Della Honda treated my mother and me. On Thanksgiving I was at a red light and when the light turned green I pushed the gas and I heard a pop from the front end. My 2003 Honda CR-V had broken and my first thought was, “I need to go to a Honda dealer because they will fix my car correctly.” I wish I had known then what was about to unfold. First visit: The car was towed to Della Honda in Plattsburgh, NY. The service man, Phil, said that the car would be fixed for around $200-$300 and that it would be, “good as new.” I needed my CV-Shaft changed, which I already knew. I went to pick the car up the next day just before they closed (2pm on a Saturday). My mother and I paid for the repairs and got in the car to go home. When I pulled out of the parking lot, I felt the steering wheel and the gas pedal wobble and shake as I gave the car gas. I planned to return to the dealership on the following Monday because my car did not shake before it was brought to Della Honda. Second visit: On that following Monday, I brought my car back to Della Honda because I was not satisfied with their service. I left the car at the dealership and went to class so that they could find the source of the shaking. I later received a phone call from a man from Della Honda who was very concerned about me driving the CR-V home because of the “terrible shaking.” He wanted me to leave the car there overnight because it was not safe to drive an hour away. He told me that the other side of my axle had broken and they did not realize that before. They thought that only one side had broken. When I asked him how much it would be to fix the car, he told me to call back the next day to get the total. That made me nervous. The next day, when I called to find out the price, I was told it would cost $800 to fix my front end because they could not get the part for the other side aftermarket, so the part alone costs $425. I trusted them and thought that I needed it, especially because the man on the phone the previous day acted like the car was not safe. My mother helped me financially and we agreed to have the repairs done. We were desperate because I commute an hour each way to school and I need a reliable car. I had class that day until after Della Honda closed, so my mother paid over the phone and I went to pick the car up that night. The car still had that familiar shake and it was exactly the same as it was before my mother spent another $800 to have that exact problem fixed. Third visit: The next morning, I went straight to Della Honda. Phil was somewhat ready for me to walk through the doors, but he did not have his story straight. Phil told me that there was nothing wrong with my front end and that the shaking was coming from the back of the vehicle. (The steering wheel and the gas pedal were shaking which indicates front end trouble). Phil told me that my drive shaft needed to be replaced which was going to cost me another $600 to fix! He argued with me as if he himself had worked on my car. I said, “I want to speak with the mechanic who worked on my car.” When the mechanic came out, I asked him to take a ride with me so that he could feel that the shaking was coming from the front end. During the ride, the mechanic told me that he had a doctor appointment the day before and had to leave early from work. As a result, he never had a chance to finish with my car so that he could determine for sure whether or not it was the drive shaft. I was not happy at all. I left the car there yet again and told them to figure it out. Later that day, I received another call from Phil. He told me that the drive shaft still needs to be changed, but that is not the immediate problem. He said that the shaking was from the transaxle. He said that a brand-new transaxle is around $3,500, but they would sell us a used one with 80,000 miles on it for $1,800 and charge us another $600 to put it in! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I went to Della Honda to have my front end fixed and they charged me $1,100 and tried to charge me another $2,400 and all they did was give me a new problem. Not long before this incident, they told my mother that she needed new breaks on her Honda Pilot before Christmas, and it was going to cost her $1000! I think the people of the area have a right to hear this story because Della Honda is not the place to go. The general manager, Tom Gilbert, says on their advertisement about Della Honda, “ . . .where we get it done for you.” They got nothing done for me except mess up my car and charge me outrageous amounts of money. Stay far away from that place! More

While shopping for a used Honda Civic, we spoke with salesperson Wayne Lapier by phone. He was very helpful in providing information on the cars available at Della Honda and about the Honda Certified Used Car program. Because he was not available on the day we made the long drive to Plattsburg, he asked his colleague Adam Walton to handle the sale. Our evaluation of the car, sales price negotiation and prep for delivery took basically all day. Throughout this time, Mr. Walton kept us informed and entertained, including a pretty good lunch recommendation. He was professional, articulate and patient. The day after we took delivery, Wayne Lapier took the time to answer a couple of concerns we had about the paperwork. The entire experience with both Adam Walton and Wayne Lapier was pleasant. Both men are a credit to Della Honda. More
