Disappointing Experience w/ Sam Cox My wife and I drove 4.5 hrs one way to look at a prospective vehicle (with pre-approved financing and cash down) which I intended to purchase, only to My wife and I drove 4.5 hrs one way to look at a prospective vehicle (with pre-approved financing and cash down) which I intended to purchase, only to be turned off by management personnel (specifically Sam Cox) whom portrayed an extremely arrogant and aggressive attitude. It seemed as if the dealership had obtained such success, Mr. Cox didn't seem overly concerned with whether or not they put forth the effort to "do the deal" with us or not. Overall, my experience at Dan Cummins was extremely disappointing, as my wife and I ended up leaving the dealership over a difference of $599 on a mid $40K (out the door price) vehicle, only to realize the following business day the dealership lowered the price of the vehicle by $200 despite their unwillingness to do so or work with us while we were at the dealership to execute the deal. Having looked at vehicles for sometime, we knew this was the one we wanted, however we simply refuse to deposit our hard earned money into an establishment ran by individuals such as Mr. Cox that do not appreciate our business in return. Friendly and lots of selection I picked out a vehicle online working with Amber Paainter (She’s awesome). and absolutely loved it. They gave me a very good price, and considering I was driving three hours I ask about the price 5 or 6 times. We arrived On the lot and noticed they had the vehicle we wanted pulled up front. Tyler greeted us and asked if we want to thrive it, no thanks just show me where to sign. This dealership is cash friendly which I liked, we found out the exact numbers out the door. We and the wife wrote a check and they were great with that , was not a overbearing process at all. Will buy my wife’s car next time she needs a new one. Overall great experience. I do wish we would have got in and out a little quicker as we were not waiting for financing or playing a money game. Maybe next time will be truly in and out. More
