I was very pleased with my experience. I felt no pressure from anyone, and got a very good deal. Luis was terrific. The good: with my car purchase: Anthony Petruzziello, the sales manager greeted me like a long lost brother and made me feel part of the Hyandai family. The bad: I waited almost an extra hour for the the sales manager greeted me like a long lost brother and made me feel part of the Hyandai family. The bad: I waited almost an extra hour for the concierge service to pick me up past the scheduled time. The salesperson (Manuel) knew when i was coming to the minute, but wasn't even at his desk and made me wait when i finally got to the dealership, didn't even shake hands, the car detailing wasn't finished, and the car wasn't even gassed up. I had to wait for that as well in the end while the salesperson actually went to go fill it up with gas. Come on guys, class it up a little bit for a 30k purchase. No apologies were offered at anytime. Apologies go a long way and it's the little things that count. The worst: I asked multiple times in advance for a simple request. Mud flaps installed (which were paid for in advance!). I did NOT want to make an extra 30 mile trip to Danbury. Although the mudflaps were not in as i requested, and wanted to wait for, the saleperson was insistent I come in on the 30th (Nov), because they had to meet "sales quotas", so it was for his benefit not mine. In fairness, the $750 buyers promo was supposed to expire at the end of the month of November, but there was an even better promo for December so there was no need to make two trips and i felt a bit deceived. So was I mad? You better believe it. Also, I felt a good sales person would have ordered the flaps for me in advance so they would be ready when I took the car. In fairness, they offered to pick the car up, have them installed and bring it back. Was I going to permit anyone else to drive my new car? NOPE. Lastly, the saleperson had the audacity (see above) to solicit for tens on the survey. I think that's a big Hyundai policy no-no................ PS I am very happy with the car though. =D PS II An agreement was made to have the mudflaps sent to me per mail (prepaid for) I found out since I MYSELF could have ordered the mudguards and had them ready to be installed so it couldn't have been too hard for the salesman to have done!!! SMH UPDATE: still haven't received my (prepaid for ) mudflaps and they gave me a "we owe" document for them which expires after 14 days, so I had to send the owner and GM a letter. (I got the car the 30th, so it expires tomorrow). Pitiful, and no excuse for this. 2nd Update. The GM did reach out to me on the mudflaps I WAS DUE AND PAID FOR and I appreciate at least that. FINAL UPDATE: The dealership was supposed to register the car. They didn't. I actually had to badger the dealership TO REGISTER THE CAR. UNBELEIVABLE. Luckily, I didn't get a ticket. If you want a dealership which is about selling as many cars as they can, and the minute you buy the car the customer becomes an afterthought, this is the place for you. I wonder if the owner knows half the stuff going on (or not getting done). My salesperson Manny had the gall to ask me to give him all tens on the Hyundai survey with the subpar service (which you aren't supposed to do!!!!) More
