On Saturday, October 29, 2022, my husband and I were visiting the Dallas area for an event and decided to take the opportunity to shop for a preowned car for our teen daughter. We shopped online until we found the perfect car for her at David McDavid Honda of Frisco. We went to the dealership that evening. Mr. Masud Mohammed was the available salesperson when we arrived. We asked to see and test drive the car. He only let us drive the car in the parking lot with him in the backseat. We loved the car and were ready to purchase it. We have a household income of around $150,000 and credit scores well over 800. He would not accept a letter of preapproval from our bank and would not run our credit. To make a very long story short, he said that the only way we could buy the car would be to return to our bank in Monroe, LA and get a cashier's check and return it before the end of the month, which was Monday. This was on a Saturday evening. We told him that we work and that we couldn't get back until the following weekend. He said that we could put down a deposit to hold the car for us. He told us to put down a $500 deposit (only by credit card) to hold the car. Then he told us before taking our credit card that the only way the hold would work was both of us to return to pick it up by Monday (two days later). He also told us that the dealership doesn't do anything electronically and that it all had to be done in person. Also, he said that they don't transport at all. We told him we would pay a transporter. We walked out twice and came back in twice trying to buy the car. After several hours, we realized that he was not going to sell the car to us no matter what. We went back to the hotel and purchased the car online. It took about 10 minutes of our time. We also added a transport to the order. We found out Monday morning when the paperwork was sent to us to sign electronically for the lender that Mr. Mohammed had been given credit for the sale of the car. What a slap in the face. We finally got the car a week and a half later because they handed all of the legwork to get the car ready and transported to us over to Mr. Mohammed. Two promised delivery dates passed before it was even turned over to their transport company. We had a long day of travel and were tired and probably didn't look like we could even afford the cheapest car on the lot, but we weren't there to impress anyone. He even asked what we drove there. We just wanted to buy a decent and safe car for our daughter. That was the most bizarre and horrible experience we have ever had when purchasing an automobile. What should have been a pleasant day turned into a nightmare. I contacted the general manager through email after we finally received the car but got no response. So very disappointed! More

Never buy any vehicle from this place because they imposed two contracts on my car. They will threaten you with high interest rates like 18% later they will convince you will give to 11%. This review will be filled with detail about this horrendous experience... A bit of background on me... I have bought over 100 cars for personal use in my lifetime... Im a person that often trade horrendous experience... A bit of background on me... I have bought over 100 cars for personal use in my lifetime... Im a person that often trades, at least once a year and has multiple cars aside from just personal vehicles, but many work cars as well... I have been a part of over 500 car sales while i have helped and brokered cars over the years to many people... I am also a business owner so it takes A LOT, and I mean A LOT for me to write a negative review, knowing the impact it can have on a business but if it is necessary to help others, I will definitely do it... I HIGHLY question some of the reviews left for the dealership after this experience and they have less than zero credibility for me... Here is the break down of this experience...ALSO, keep in mind that i have THOROUGH records and proof of the accuracy of my statements, including videos kept, all email and text chains, phone records etc... So if anything is put into question with lies and deceit, I can prove otherwise... ALSO, if you look at my past reviews here and numerous other sites, i have RARELY, if ever, left a negative review and have MANY reviews left for amazing experiences with different dealerships... As far as my experience with this dealership... We had one of our work cars designated as a total loss by the insurance company so we had a payout to get another car... I buy cars out of state far more than in state for a multitude of reasons but living in Iowa, the options are not as great as other states on top of the shortages in cars as it is... I did thorough searches as usual but kept coming back to a car at this dealer, a 2013 Lincoln MKX... it had a clean car fax, good reviews on the dealer and a somewhat reasonable price... My experience started out rather bad when I emailed with questions. I asked if there were any noticeable damages with a response given to just look at the posted pictures... this is clearly a lack of care on their part when we all know that pictures can be altered and you could never see every area of a car from 30 or less pictures... that was lazy and essentially rude on their part but i overlooked that because the car was what we needed in terms of a replacement... the process was not bad in terms of getting a deal done however I felt misled a few times... The site has a buy online option where you can docusign everything and do the deal right over the computer... I had just completed two transactions this way a few months prior and was on a time schedule as it was... I was told we could not do that and I had to sign the papers by hand... Not a big deal as I was told they could be overnighted as usual although I did find it strange they had the online option but would not let me do it... I asked about this and never got a straight answer but being I run multiple businesses, I was pressed for time as it was... I then called one of my transporters to set him up to pick up the car... I was given a time frame on when the papers would get to me and i could overnight right back... I asked for tracking multiple times to never get an answer... The next day, nothing came and so I knew that already my transporter, who rearranged his schedule for me, could not pick up at the time we agreed... After attempting to get a hold of my sales person several times, i FINALLY got a response they "forgot" to send it out and would sent it out then... Clearly a lack of care on their part, not to mention that once I sent a wire, for the full amount with no financing needed, the responses were few and far between... So i then had to let my transporter know, who was clearly not happy, but went ahead and did it for me anyway... I finally got the papers and sent back immediately... They received them at 9:30 am. the day they were returned... My transporter waited nearly 4 hours for them to finally get to them and when they did, they said i missed two signatures... SOMEHOW, they were able to let me sign and scan them back , after they had just told me they needed wet signatures... SMH... regardless, 6 hours after he arrived, they sent the car with him... . I received the car the following day... Here is where the bigger issues come... I was told the car was inspected and there were zero problems with it... COMPLETELY FALSE... immediately when driving, i could tell the brakes were shot... They make a very loud air sound and felt like a sponge, clearly indicating the brakes needed to, at the minimum, be bled as they had air in them... Not to mention, they are not working well at all and are not what you would deem safe to drive.. on top of that, the CIM unit was non responsive, which is the unit that controls the temp, radio etc... I have not yet had the chance to get the car fully inspected, but right off the jump we have over 1000 in repairs needed... I have called the dealership THREE TIMES to speak to a manager and yet while I was told i was speaking to the sales manager, I was told I would get a "call back" which nearly a week later, I have yet to get... On top of this, noone will email me back on the registration as well... Im a large influencer online and will be posting this EVERYWHERE... we have a tik tok channel with over a million followers and i am putting a video review there as well... At this point, I dont want to hear any response saying they will "fix things" etc... If you have to be called out in this manner to get any sort of help or response, then you clearly have no ethics nor care for the customer... anything short of either taking the car back and also reimbursing me for my time wasted and shipping charges, nothing would help anyway... I would HIGHLY suggest avoiding this dealership because they are careless and only care about the sale, not the consumer whatsoever! More
