Appalling behavior I was looking to purchase a Toyota 2017 Red Camry when I saw one on the Dayton site. Unfortunately, when I got there the car was no longer on the lot I was looking to purchase a Toyota 2017 Red Camry when I saw one on the Dayton site. Unfortunately, when I got there the car was no longer on the lot. I did see a Red Prius Prime Advanced to a test drive and I fell in love. Put a deposit but wanted to come back with my boyfriend so he could work out the price and finances, who pays sticker. So we looked up the car on True Car to see how they would compare. When we got to the dealership he explained he was looking for a price closer to what he saw on True Car. They were not willing to budge on the sticker, and if they had just said that it would have been fine. But instead, finance person came over already annoyed that we were not just accepting what he told the saleswoman to tell us. He proceeded to explain just because they advertise with TrueCar they don’t have to use the pricing from the website, there are options that are not included and it affects the price. But each time the finance person would try to show us the math his numbers were different, and anyone who knows math is math and you have to add and subtract from both starting numbers to be consistent. When that didn’t happen my boyfriend tried to explain it to the finance person who then got an attitude and proceeded to tell my boyfriend who has been an electrical engineer for over 25 years that he doesn’t understand math. And he said it not once but three times. We were stunned, and after the third time we walked out, I told the sales woman I would contact her the next day to get a credit for my deposit. When I called her the next day she apologized for the finance person’s behavior and let me know that we could proceed without him. I let her know I was appalled at their behavior and I just wanted my deposit refunded to my credit card. To which she said to me that I should not let a man tell me what to do. WOW really I politely again asked her for me credit and hung up the phone. Sorry for the long review I just had to express my feelings. More
