Buyer Beware!!! The buying experience seemed pretty standard to start. They listed a sale price, we countered then they countered and we went back and forth for abou The buying experience seemed pretty standard to start. They listed a sale price, we countered then they countered and we went back and forth for about 30min - 1 hour. Eventually we agreed on a price that included a "CERTIFIED/BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY" that would be put to the test sooner than expected. Things suddenly took a turn for the worse after we left the dealership (Friday 9/7/2018). On the drive home we started to notice high idling while the vehicle was stopped. We took the vehicle back to the dealership the next day (Saturday 9/8/2018) and after an hour of diagnostics we were told that they were putting us in a loaner car. Our gently used vehicle that supposedly passed a 160 point inspection and considered "certified" was now experiencing a misfire and would need servicing through the warranty. Fast forward to yesterday (Tuesday 9/11/2018), we received a call that our vehicle was ready and the issue has been resolved so today (Wednesday 9/12/2018) we went to pick up our car. We found it odd that there was no paperwork to be signed or anything given to us supporting the fact that the vehicle had been serviced but we later understood why. After getting about 10-15 miles away from the service center the car started doing the same thing again so we called the service department to report the issue and were told that we needed to drive it a little more so the additives could work their way through the fuel system. After roughly 100 miles later the car is still doing the same thing and since we live over 30 minutes away we cannot continue to drive back and forth to address an issue that should not occur on a "CERTIFIED" vehicle. What we have found to be disheartening is the fact that the sales associate nor the sales manager has bothered to follow up with us about the issue to see if our concerns had been addressed. We chose this dealership over Auto Nation Toyota (Winter Park), Central Florida Toyota (Orland), David Maus Toyota (Sanford) and Parks Toyota (DeLand) because of the "Certified Bumper to bumper warranty" but if this is what they consider CERTIFIED we would strongly suggest that you purchase from another dealership instead. I will be sharing this experience on all of my social media sites and requesting that my friends and family do the same so that we can prevent this from happening to another buyer!!! More
