DeFelice Auto of Pt. Pleasant

Just an overall AWFUL experience. Not only was Mark basically like the typical xxxxxxx car salesman, he was so unintelligent that I couldn't even stand it. I must have asked for the same thing about 4 times and he kept not paying attention nor actually doing what I asked. He kept writing numbers down on paper that made zero sense to what he was talking about. Never use Mark!! Aside from that, the truck that I bought immediately had a check engine light that came on about 24 hours after we left the lot. Also, there was a random DeFelice sticker on the top center of the windshield. I'm not big on giving anyone free advertising so I removed the sticker only to find a GIANT crack in the windshield. They, of course, tried to play dumb when I called to complain about it and said their detailer must have done that. This all happened about a month ago. I never heard from Mark again as to my plates coming in. My temp expired on 11/22 and not a word from him. So I called myself to find out and I got a "Oh I'm so sorry Mark didn't call you. They have been here. You can come get them whenever." On top of all of that, I finally was able to pick up the plates yesterday only to find out I owe $12 more dollars for Motor Vehicle. I look at the receipt and there is a $25 late fee listed on there. I questioned that and they said oh it's fine. It's not late. I said well it couldn't be cause I literally just bought the car. I did a little research and apparently they never submitted the paperwork timely to the DMV and ended up owing a late fee that they in turn passed on to me for their mistake. Just overall, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Horrible customer service, Horrible salesman, and just Horrible Place. It's so disappointing as I've been involved in the car industry for YEARS and they used to be just such a good company and it's completely gone downhill. Go anywhere else! More

I purchased a 2014 GMC sierra truck I found on trucar from DeFelice in July. I was looking for just the truck that they were advertising in NJ, a regular cab with an 8’ bed 4x4, but I am in Colorado an from DeFelice in July. I was looking for just the truck that they were advertising in NJ, a regular cab with an 8’ bed 4x4, but I am in Colorado and couldn’t look at it in person. I called the dealer to ask a few questions as the pictures were low resolution on the website. I specifically asked Mark about rust and was told that there was only surface rust on the underside so I made the deal. When the truck was delivered I was at work when the delivery driver called with no warning and they dropped it off in my driveway. When I got home I found my truck was not as described as it had quite a bit of rust bubbling through from the back. See attached pictures. I called Mark right away he said that it was not that much rust. after a few more calls they told me they would split the cost of repairs with me which I agreed to. After waiting for weeks nobody contacted me so I got an estimate for just fixing the bed problems and sent it to Mark to which he told me he could have it fixed for way less and that was the last I have heard from them. I’m kind of stuck with a rusted out truck that isn’t worth what I paid and will be impossible to sell in Colorado. Would not recommend them but use caution if you deal with DeFelice if you can’t look in person. More
