Through no fault of this dealership, it took 19 weeks from ordering to delivery (the only disappointing feature of the whole buying process)! Dishonest dealer that doesn't honor their "deals" - Not all dealerships are created equal. Deland CJDR falls into the category of dealership all customers despise. The one that lies to you and when you catch them in the lie they act as the victim. Dealerships like DeLand CJDR shouldn't even be in business. I went online and received an "instant cash offer" from the DeLand CJDR website for my vehicle thru their TrueCar link. Again, this is ON their website and is an actual offer pending inspection of the vehicle. A salesperson (Chris K) reached out to me since I was also interested in a Jeep vehicle. First I inquired about my vehicle since I would be trading in using the "instant cash offer" I had received from their website. Nope...not happening. Salesperson says they don't honor that and that they only match what CarMax values a vehicle at. Huh? What does "instant cash offer" mean to you? It wasn't an estimate. It was an actual offer to buy my vehicle from this dealership thru the TrueCar platform. The offer from CarMax would have been almost $7,000 lower so of course that's why they said what they did. I contacted TrueCar and first verified the validity of the offer I received and the representative confirmed that it was a solid offer to purchase my vehicle (or trade-in) for the amount specified as long as all the information I provided online was correct. I explained to them that the dealer was refusing and they have escalated this issue for review since the dealer is contractually obligated to accept this instant offer as a participating dealer. After some back and forth with the salesperson he decided to claim that he was the owner of the entire automotive group. Which of course is a complete lie. One second you're talking to a salesperson and the next it's the owner of the entire automotive group on a weekend? The entire exchange was completely unprofessional, dishonest, and most of all frustrating. All of our communication was done via text message so before you reply to this review (DeLand CDJR management) please keep in mind that I have screenshots of the entire conversation and will post them on here for everyone to see if you claim what i've said isn't true. The moral of the story is that there's dozens of Chrysler/Jeep dealerships in Central Florida. Avoid this one. You'll save yourself thousands of dollars and several headaches. It's dealerships like this one that give the all dealerships a bad reputation. More
