4/13/2021 Unfortunately, at times we are compelled to defend ourselves from abusive Yelp posts. Here is also some background about DeLillo Chevrolet, we have been a family owned and operated Dealership dating back to the 50's when we were located on Pacific Coast Highway next to the Golden Bear. We moved to our current location on Beach Blvd in 1962. We have served this community with pride and integrity for many years. As displayed on our website homepage delillo.com, we have excellent ratings from Google, Cars.com, Autotrader and Yelp. We truly value all our customers as they are the only ones that have kept us in business all these years. Mr. Simpson came into our store looking at a Camaro however did not purchase the vehicle and wanted to see it again after we completed additional reconditioning. Justin agreed to inform Mr. Simpson when the car was returned to the Dealership. Mr. Simpson was not the only customer interested in the car. When Mr. Simpsons wife arrived at the dealership another customer, that was waiting for the car to return, and looked at it previously, was there purchasing the vehicle. Unfortunately, these circumstances do happen when more than one customer is trying to purchase the same vehicle. In fact, we had three people that day wanting the same car, only one can buy and the other two will be disappointed. We as a company regret these situations however they are out of our control. For Mr. Simpson to state we led him on, wasted his time, and deceived him is not true. Mr. Simpson had the opportunity to purchase the vehicle when he was there the first time and we would have done the repairs after the sale. Mr. Simpson then calls the salesperson that was not even there that day to bully, harass and threaten him while at his kid's little league game. We will not tolerate Mr. Simpsons threats and outright bullying of this company or its employees. Dave DeLillo President Read less
