This time I needed the tires switched from winter->summer, an oil change, and a NY state car inspection — and I needed them done before the weekend because I expect to be doing a lot of driving this weekend. The service department got everything done, and so far everything seems to be working well. More

Service Brought my truck in for an electrical issue on Tuesday. By Thursday my truck was fixed and back to normal. John Cordi was the guy who I dealt with and he gave me several calls to keep me updated. Thankfully Chevy covered my transmission control module under warranty. I only gave 4 stars because they didn't change my oil but that's not a big issue for me I'm just happy they fixed my truck so fast and the customer service was excellent. Disappointed, hoping the manager can help When I brought my car to Denooyer for a diagnostic to pass emissions, I mentioned that my car's Check Engine light had been on most of the 5 years I o When I brought my car to Denooyer for a diagnostic to pass emissions, I mentioned that my car's Check Engine light had been on most of the 5 years I owned it. My last mechanic who worked for a huge dealership said a short in the dashboard's electrical system was to blame. The first service rep I spoke with insisted it must be a loose gas cap without ever having looked at the car. I explained that the cap fits perfectly but he insisted I must be wrong. and continued his personal conversation with a coworker. A second service rep finally appeared to write up the paperwork. Later that Monday, Denooyer charged me over $130 for the diagnostic and said it failed emissions due to a loose gas cap. The service rep was very condescending and said the mechanic fixed it by putting it on correctly. I had to drive the car 3 days and return on Friday for an emissions test they said my car was certain to pass. I did not touch the gas cap at all that week. On Thursday, the Check Engine light came on. The service rep said my car cannot pass emissions if the light is on. So I paid over $130 for nothing. It doesn't sound as if the mechanic considered any possibility other than a gas cap malfunction. I am hoping I can at last meet the manager and he will ask a different mechanic to repeat the diagnostic. But I've never seen the manager in the many times I've been there so I am not hopeful. More
Incompetent workmanship, I have been to this place for close to last 2.5 years for my 2 cars and also recommended this place to a few of my friends. But my experience of June 5th 2018 was not something that would motivate me to go to this location again. I requested oil change w/ tire rotation. I marked my tires to ensure they were ACTUALLY rotated. To my shocking surprise tires were not rotated, mistakes do happen but when I asked the gentleman he told me tire rotation was complete. Then I proved my point, after which the associate took the car inside and damaged the lugnuts while rotating the tires, upon my query, his reply was: it was like that only. I know a few basics of auto mechaincs and I could not fathom that. Eventually I had to go to my home without my car by taxi (of course I paid out of my pocket for that), no loaner was provided in the absence of manager. Strange it is. For their fault I had to pay for cab. Problem is this shop has interns who work without any experienced people around them. Had that been the case, then things would not come to such a pass. Only saving grace was their service associate Jonathan Cordi who was courteous and I appreciated that. But visiting this location again, is out of question. More

When I got there it was a whole other story and instead of an easy fix priced me with a huge amount to do a job that was unnecessary and then told me to do the work myself. Not impressed and will not be going there again. More

They offered to fix it then at a cost of $214.00, but suggested that since it was still under warranted, I might want to check with a Chevy dealership. Since I was in the area, I went directly to DeNooyer to check on the warantee. I was asked to bring the car into the shop and told that a mechanic would check it out. I went into the waiting lounge, and one hour later was told the car was ready to go. No appointment necessary, no return trip, no cost! I’ve never had treatment like this at a dealership before. Thank you, DeNooyer service department. More

The service department at DeNooyer Chevrolet does not get my recommendation. Great people to buy a vehicle from. But do not bring your car back for repairs. More
