I've been helping her with lots of legal/financial things--and Delray Honda (specifically Carlos Orejuela) made this process better, easier, faster for us. He couldn't have been more responsive and proactive. And he was a real gentleman with my Mom, genuinely warm and caring, treating her more like HIS Mom than a customer. I appreciated greatly his attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile for us. I live in Massachusetts, but if I lived here and was buying a Honda, I'd definitely go to Delray Honda. I'm grateful my Dad picked it in the first place. More

I will take ownership of part of the problem because I trusted them. Being a consumer and a person of service, I can say from my experience , Honesty is the best policy. It may be my bruised ego that is fueling this review of trust because even though I had asked "what was the selling price of the car?", it was different than what was actually put on paper. I should have double checked the number instead of trusting that he was going to be honest about the price on paper as well. When it came time to negotiation of the deal : I was under the impression we where talking about the sticker price. However, he added 4000 to the sticker price and did not disclose that they where add ons nor did he say the total price of the car with the additional warranties. I should have seen the red flag when his monthly payments where higher than my prequalified monthly payment. I should have seen the red flag when he asked for more money down than my prequalified down payment. And again I should have seen the red flag when he gave me a bogus explanation that my prequalified offer didn't include taxes and I would have to pay them upfront to get that monthly payment. Which coincidentally was the same price as one of the additional warranties he added to the sticker price. Even though when I showed him my prequalified offer and it showed taxes included in the offer. Unfortunately, this whole review could have been 5 stars if he had been upfront with me about the extended warranties. I actually would have been interested in them since my last vehicle was a used van and had broken down on me when I was on the road and it was more expensive to fix than the van was worth. A simple question of "You don't have a trade in?" would have led to a conversation and an easy sell of the extened warranties. A few minutes to get to know the customer and situation, a few minutes would have saved both parties of giving and getting a bad review. We had to sign a few papers allowing us to be recorded during this signing process, and again hopefully they review it. They should be able to clearly see there is a point at which I blatantly ask what is the price they are selling the car to me. Here the key word would be "included". Here is where it get messy. Its included to me meant, its included in the sticker price. Its included to them meant, we added it to the total price. A price they never verbalized to me and my mistake for not double checking the paper work. Looking back, the worst part was when the financial rep insulted me. He knew he added 4000 to the sticker price and he knew I had not verified that price when he diverted our attention during the signing. And when I had asked about our interest rate he was very patronizing by saying,"oh, there's nothing getting by you". That is definitely not the way I would expect to be treated or to treat any customer. My mistake was to trust and not look at the print. I guess they knew that after being there for 8 hours that we would be ready to sign without much reproach. It's very unfortunate because this dealership is 5 minutes from my house. But, as of now I would much rather drive 30 minutes out of my way to another Honda dealership than to deal with them. More
