The negotiation experience was pretty typical for a used car dealership. My two gripes: 1. The out-of-the-blue "Doc Fee". Don't negotiate in good faith and then throw in an extra $349 profit when I'm sitting with the finance guy. That's sleazy and soured the entire experience. The dollar amount is small but the fact remains that they were lying to me while we negotiated. 2. Out-of-state registration processing. Don't do it! You get a temp plate good for 20 days but your home state's registration doesn't arrive for another 45. I could have driven to my local DMV and done it all on the spot to avoid driving around on an expired registration. Maybe it's the DMV's fault, but regardless, the service is not worth the risk. Birthday Gift I had been tracking the B7 Alpina for several weeks waiting to get through tax season and hoping it would be there, once the dust settled. The car I was driving was a Xmas gift from my wife and daughter several years back and my wife decided the Alpina should be my birthday gift, so she wrote the check making it so.. It was a bit of a busy day at Deluxe and Renato, our sales advisor, was attentive and well informed of all my new BMW had to offer, explaining, in detail, many of the great features. I didn't expect to drive home on that Saturday, Renato and Deluxe team did make that happen and have been attentive in the follow up on paperwork and post sale care. Having bought a bunch of cars in my life and left with a disappointment or two after the transaction, this experience with Deluxe Auto and Renato has been a joy. I can say with great certainty that he is the best at his job and amazing at making me feel that i am one of the family. As we go forward in life this will be the place i go, from the customer service to the quality of the vehicles. You just feel it from the moment you arrive.
