RJ was great, unfortuately, the Finance Dept was backed up that day, we were at the dealership for over 5 hours! and we weren't financing the vehicle. Our Sales person, RJ was fantastic, explaining all the "Bells & Whistles" on our 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We also enjoyed speaking with DeSoto Auto Mall's Manager, who is also from MA. The was our 2nd p "Bells & Whistles" on our 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We also enjoyed speaking with DeSoto Auto Mall's Manager, who is also from MA. The was our 2nd purchase from DeSoto Auto Mall, we purchased in 2003 a used 2000 Ford F350 dually quad cab and owned it until 2020! We recently had our Winnebago Class A motorhome serviced there due to an engine light being on. We are very pleased with the Sales, Financial and Service Staff! Thank you! I was interested in buying a 2004 Corvette they offered for sale . I asked if the car was mechanically correct . They assured me it was . I traveled from Arizona to Arcadia Florida and when I went to tes for sale . I asked if the car was mechanically correct . They assured me it was . I traveled from Arizona to Arcadia Florida and when I went to test drive the Corvette warning lights for failure of ABS anti-lock brake , Stability control , and Traction control failure lights all light up while driving the car .. They inspected the car and said the right front wheel hub needed to be replaced . They expected and wanted me to buy the car and then they said they would fix it . The repair estimate was approximately $800 . This is totally unacceptable and wrong for any car dealer to conduct business this way , I did not buy the car . They were happy to pick me up at the airport when I arrived to buy the car but when I refused to buy the car they told me to take a taxi back to the airport and totally ignored me . This Desoto dealership is a disgrace and they should lose their license to do business .. The time and money I spent to travel from Arizona to Florida was a complete waste . They lied to me when they told me before I traveled that the car was mechanically correct . This dealership is a fraud . More
This dealership is a fraud. I did leg work to locate a car and provided all of the information and drove over an hour to Arcadia to give them my business. Michael the general manager Thanked me for my bus car and provided all of the information and drove over an hour to Arcadia to give them my business. Michael the general manager Thanked me for my business, and for coming so far to work with them and accepted a $1,000.00 down payment for the 2021 jeep unlimited sport altitude. I told them my timeline and that I needed to get a vehicle lined up before my lease ended. The car was 3 weeks out in transit to Arcadia. After waiting 2 weeks I was called and told it would be another 2 weeks but not to worry because it would be there before my lease was up. Then I get a call from Hector the sales agent who advised me that the general manager told him I cancelled my order. This never happened. Hector told me that the car was sold out from under me and that the general manager Michael was fired by the owner this past week due to countless acts of disrespect to employees and customers. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I have been in the car industry for over 30 years and have never been disrespected in such a blatant way before. They were not receptive to hearing my feedback and didn’t offer any resolutions to the issues they caused me. Now I am left with no car and a lease ending. The new manager is just as bad and has not done anything to help fight for me. Hector the sales agent has been in touch and let me know that they are not doing anything to help me. On Tuesday Dec. 28/2021 I took my 2015 Dodge Ram to this Dealer , in regards to a clicking noise coming from the dash. Spoke to Tyler in the Service Dept and he listened to the noise. He said was one of Dealer , in regards to a clicking noise coming from the dash. Spoke to Tyler in the Service Dept and he listened to the noise. He said was one of the actuators and he scheduled an appointment for the Following Tuesday Jan 4/2022 at 8:00 A.M. plus an oil change. Took truck back and was told would have to leave it and would call when repairs done. I expected that they would have the parts in stock or a least on order. Did not receive a call Tuesday or Wednesday . I called dealership 3 times on Wednesday afternoon for an update and was put on hold and then disconnected. When I finally reached Service Dept was told someone would call me back. When no one called back by 4:00 P.M. I had my sister drive me to the dealership to retrieve clubs that I needed for Thursday. Found out that they had not started to work on truck or do oil change. Was told someone would call with an estimate. By the time I returned home they had called my wife and gave her the costs of replacing 2 actuators approx. $1009.+ tax or 1 at $879.+ tax. She asked if they had taken dash apart or oil change done. Tyler said no nothing had been done. I called and told them was picking up truck that they had for 2 days and nothing accomplished. Totally unacceptable . I was informed that I would have to pay $298.26 for a 2 hour diagnostic , do not believe this was done . It took Tyler 2-3 min to tell us it was the actuator the week before. This is my time wasted should charge $130.00 per hour for my time. Service Manager Shawn Barney told me I was foolish for not leaving truck for the repairs. Dealership customer relations leaves something to be desired and would not recommend this dealer . If they were short staffed or could not get to the repairs a courtesy call may have been acceptable and I would have rescheduled . Lost a customer but I am sure they could care less. More
