Throughout every step of this transaction I was told one thing and strung along. Nothing worked out the way they promised. I felt duped and completely manipulated and trapped because they knew I wanted this thing and strung along. Nothing worked out the way they promised. I was lied to many times, given false incentives, and the finance rep named Josh threatened to not let me buy the car when I questioned a number which was higher than agreed upon. He stormed off and when he was shown proof in the notes of the correct number, he came back, angrily crumpled the paper and printed out a new one after throwing it on the floor like a 2 year old having a tantrum. These people represent every bad stereotype out there about the car sales industry. When I questioned each false promise they argued in a way that was inappropriate asking me lots of personal questions and trying to trip me out as if they could convince me I was wrong. To put myself in perspective I am an Ivy League graduate, with a master’s degree and fairly well versed in civilised interactions and professional environments. I was flabbergasted at the way these people handled themselves. I’m sure they will lie if confronted as they did with me. I would be happy to provide step by step details of what happened if necessary but suffice it to say here, a truly awful experience. As I write this I am aware they can retaliate in some perverse way rather than address the situation professionally but I have all avenues on high alert in case this happens. However, as an optimist I do hope they will reflect upon the transaction and consider where they went wrong and resolve the issues in a mature and professional manner. The whole experience makes me want to contact someone higher up at KIA who might genuinely care about how these people represent their company. I don’t think they would approve. More
