I went to Destination Kia based on a flyer I had received in the mail and a voucher for an additional $1,000 for my trade in. Initial impression was good: we were able to test drive a 2014 Sedona (which I didn't even know had come out yet), and initial purchase discussions went quickly enough. As soon as we started bartering, time suddenly seemed to stand still. Between each counter offer was an hour wait. By the time we had settled on a price, I had already been at the dealership for 2.5 hours. Maybe at this point I should have just let them process everything for a next day pickup, but after expressing interest in same day pickup, they seemed to indicate this wouldn't be a problem and we could get things taken care of quickly. If another 4 hours of waiting, constant run-around by salesmen, financiers, and management, and a lack of communication even when I bugged them is their definition of "quickly", I guess I have to say I was exceedingly frustrated and disappointed. Regardless, we finally closed on the deal, had paperwork signed, insurance setup, and (what I thought) was everything settled. As I transferred everything from our old car to the new, we were informed that the second key to the vehicle was missing. Another 30 minutes of wasted time, and they finally found it. Needless to say, I was very glad to drive off the lot and head home... ...4 miles down the road I glanced down at the dashboard and was very surprised (and upset) to see the low fuel light turn on with the needle set to empty! I had spent over 7 hours at the dealership and they hadn't even found time to fill my gas tank! Obviously I called them upset. To their credit, they were apologetic and sent me a couple of gas gift cards. Even so, it left a foul taste in my mouth. In conclusion, I've learned 2 lessons from this experience: 1. Destination Kia gave me the trade-in price I had targeted on my Hyundai Tiburon and a great deal on a new Kia Soul. Plus we weren't even looking for my wife but when they offered a new lease on a 2013 Optima on my Hyundai Tiburon and a great deal on a new Kia Soul. Plus we weren't even looking for my wife but when they offered a new lease on a 2013 Optima at the same monthly payment we were currently paying on the lease for her 2011 Optima, we had to consider the deal. Since we had previously always done business with the Capital Region's most well-known car dealership, we gave them a chance to counter, but they said no way Kia was giving us that deal and when they didn't, come back and see them. Well, Tony and the people at Destination Kia gave us exactly what they promised and we ended up purchasing not one but two vehicles that day plus the other dealership lost us as customers.If Kia keeps making quality vehicles like the Optima and the Soul, and Destination Kia keeps giving us these sweet deals, why would we go anywhere else/ More

I bought a Certified Pre-Owned Kia on my birthday this year. When I left that day I left without my car because there were some things that had to be done to it before I could bring it home. The prior owner was a smoker and the smell of smoke was overwhelming when you got in the car. To be fair this car just came in and Kia did not have the chance to clean it yet. Also there was a cigarette burn mark on the window molding on the drivers side which I asked to be replaced. The car had ashes all over it and needed a good cleaning. I was assured that before I picked up my car It would be cleaned and ready but that I would have to return on a Wednesday for the molding to be fixed as there is only one guy who does that on Wednesdays. A couple of days later I go pick up my car and when I get in the car still smells badly of smoke, (I'm a former smoker) there are still ashes everywhere and the car interior was not cleaned. I can tell because there was something spilled on the shifter and its still there. I'm promised that when I come back this will be taken care of as well as my molding. Two weeks after I bought my car I had my appointment to go in for the work (molding and Ionizing for cigarette smell) When I get there the service departments advises me that nothing has been written up. I have an appointment but they don't know why. I tell them I'm there for the molding and the Ionizing and I also had 2 other issues that came up. I had to put air in my back driver side tire twice since I picked the car up for low tire pressure and my gas cap is hard to get open when I push the button. I got to the dealership at 8:15 am and there were already 11 people ahead of me. Fine I expected to wait at this point. 3 hours later my car is done. So they tell me they had to order my molding. Are you kidding me. 3 hours I sat there for what? So they did the ionizing and found nothing wrong with my tire or gas cap. I get in my car that was apparently cleaned and of course the same thing that spilled on my shifter was still there. I will admit I lost my cool a little but I was unhappy at this point. This all started out as a very pleasant experience but now I'm completely annoyed. I expected that when to get what I was told when I bought the car. My sales experience was Great but service at Kia needs to be improved. The staff were friendly and apologetic but there is a disconnect somewhere that should be fixed. More
We came in on Tuesday June 18th to check out the Kia Sorento and its optional 3rd seat. We were introduced to Nick Corsi who took us around the lot and showed us a 2014 Kia Sorento with all the "Bells Sorento and its optional 3rd seat. We were introduced to Nick Corsi who took us around the lot and showed us a 2014 Kia Sorento with all the "Bells and Whistles" as he put it. He went over everything the Kia Sorento had to over and asked us if we would be interested in purchasing an new Kia Sorento. We told him we were just looking but if he could keep the payments around $350 we would be interested. Well, needless to say, we left that night as the proud owners of a new 2014 Kia Sorento with the 3rd seat we were looking for. They did not have one with just standard features on their lot but Nick was able to get the car we wanted in 2 days and we picked our new car up that Saturday. I went there looking to buy a car and I eventually did. The experience was not at all what I had hoped for. The salesman I had told me that my payments would be in the 250s when the financial manager called me and told me that would not be the case it would be in the 280s and they never called me to let me know anything that they were doing even though they said they would. When I looked over the vehicle I noticed a dent below the drivers side door I mentioned it and the salesman said usually people wait until they get hit to claim in under the insurance...who says that??? I called today because they never gave me a spare key and nobody has contacted me back. The financial manager Beth was probably the best person to work with! More
