Devan Acura of Norwalk responded

We offered you a test drive immediately upon your request. However when we asked to make a copy of your driver’s license, you stated that you did not have it with you. We then asked you if the gentleman that was with you who you stated was your father, had his license. You went over to talk to him, and after a few minutes of privately conversing with him, you came back and stated that he did not have his license either. You then asked if you can still test drive the car if an employee of the dealership came along for the ride. We explained to you that we cannot do this but we would be happy to grant you a test drive if one of you came back with a driver’s license. I’m sorry you felt we were being unreasonable, but asking for a copy of the driver’s license before a test drive is normal procedure for almost any dealership; not only is it our store policy, it is also the law that you carry a driver’s license when operating a motor vehicle.
