Bert simply explains my choices in maintenance care of my car. He asked me during my 100,000 mile service to go with Honda parts because they are manufactured to the vehicle spec. for my car. He explained that for the first 100,000 miles I had no break downs or major repairs, so he recommended that for the next 100,000 miles to invest in my car. I've been cheated by the Diamond Honda of Puente Hills Service Center. They provided wrong and fake diagnostics and requested labor fee over $400 for sliding door problems and Real A/C. The initial diagno Service Center. They provided wrong and fake diagnostics and requested labor fee over $400 for sliding door problems and Real A/C. The initial diagnostic which they provided said Control box needed to be reset. It cost me $108 to do the works and its not covered by Honda Care. But they didn't fix the problem which I found out when picked up the car. Then on the 2nd diagnostic report next day, They said the Sliding Door Panel Re-sealing is needed and its requested by Honda Care, also the door motor and Transistor on Control unit needs to be replaced. They said the Re-sealing is not covered by HONDA Care, It cost $400 to do the works. Since those parts(motor and Transistor) was back ordered and needs about 2 weeks, so they asked me pickup the car or they will pay for the rental car. Also, I need to pay the resealing works $400 in advance since they already provided some works, I refused to pay the $400 since they have not yet fixed the car. In addition, it doesn't make any sense that customer is responsible to pay for the back panel sealing works in order to protect a "warranted parts". The service Manager Eric Sharaf was very rude said the Re-sealing works is required by HONDA CARE, and its necessary, otherwise, no parts will be covered under Honda Warranty. After several arguments, The service Manager said I can have my car and please wake away, they will not service my car anymore in the future. They will not refund me the $108 that I paid, in addition, they will withdraw the car rental purchase order and I will need to pay for it on my own. After I withdraw my car from the Service Center, then I checked in the car to another Service Center "Metro Honda" which located in the city of Clairmont. The Metro Honda fixed the problems, which they have replaced the Junction box, and it fixed both sliding door, Door Lock, and real A/C. All parts and labor covered by the Honda Care Extended Warranty and I don't need to pay anything. In addition, they have authorized a car rental which covered by Honda care during those repair days, included parts waiting period. I have spoke to HONDA CARE WARRANTY CLAIM CENTER, they have confirmed that the sliding door back panel re-sealing works is recommended but not necessary, Also, the rental car should be covered under entire repair period during the parts waiting. More
I bought a CPE 10' Honda Accord and I was very pleased with the overall experience at Diamond Honda. Brigitte, the saleswoman was awesome and very helpful and she did not exert any pressure to buy. About a week after purchasing my car I realized that there were a few pits on the windshield and I took the car back to the dealer and they replaced the entire windshield free of charge. Over the last A few years ago, I bought a 2008 Honda Cr-v from this dealer, WOW great car! The salesman at that time was very helpful and friendly. Over the last few years, I have taken my car there for service...they have a great team of people working for them. They really make you feel welcome and they try to save you money whenever possible. I like that they send me coupons in the mail which have helped lower my cost when I needed service done on my car. Note, I usually put the coupons in my glove compartment so when I need anything done the coupons are waiting to be used. The whole staff there have always been very friendly, honest and extremely helpful...alot of great people working there. And I love the atmosphere here when I had to wait for my car. I recently, spoke with the New General Manager Theodora Stratos when I was there on my last visit there...she and her staff try to make sure your expericence is Outstanding, they aim to please. Great job to ALL,Keep it Up and Thank You!! More
The dealership gets 1 star. but my Sales Woman Bridgette gets 5 stars. So about the Stealership, I bought an 08 Odyssey that was "Honda Certified". I should have known something was up with the place when we popped the hood and it was disgusting, it looked like the prior owner had driven through a desert dust time the whole time. Then when we tried to start it it had a dead battery, which I was told would be replaced when I purchased the vehicle. The interior needed a good scrubbing again as well. Well a week after I purchased the van the battery went dead twice on me, it had never been replaced. When I took it back to them the service writer hooked the battery up to a tester and said oh ya this battery is shot. The Assistant Service Manger said well batteries are not covered under the Certified warranty, and I quickly pointed out had the vehicle actually gone under your world class certified inspection the battery would have been replaced. So he proceeds to tell me he is going to charge it the Sales Dept cause hes not going to foot the bill, I told him I don't care who its charged to I just need the van to be fixed. 2 weeks after the dead battery the left front axle starts making a clicking noise when backing up and while turning, I go back by the Stealership and the same Asst Service Manager tells me I will have to leave it all day so they can "Check it Out" since its a lengthy inspection and job. I didn't leave the van with them I instead took it to Norm Reeves Honda in West Covina which is much closer to home. As soon as I pulled in and told the service adviser what was wrong he knew instantly what I was talking about and said no problem they would fix it. They were aware of this problem as there was a service bulletin on it and they keep the axle in stock. With in 3 hours my van had a new axle, had been washed and was ready for pick up. More
