My sales person was Ammar at Dick Hannahs Subaru in Vancouver , WA. Ammar was friendly , respectful, and seemed eager to please. His knowledge of the vehicle seemed weak. When I asked what comes with the all "weather protection package" his knowledge seemed weak. He said there was a new engine model in the 2011. In fact, it had the same engine model that was in the 2010. There are two specific complaints: 1) I gave Ammar a complete list of the features I wanted which included a manual transmission with a speed stick. It took a day or two two for Hannah Subaru to find the car I requested. I was told the car was in and I could come in to purchase it. When I saw the car in person, it had an automatic option. I don't know if was Ammar's respondsibility to obtain the car, but I felt he should have checked for the features I requested including the "manual transmission". BTW, I did end up buying that forester with the automatic transmission. 2) When setting up the "hands free" option with my cell phone blue tooth, Ammar seemed lost and it took a parade of salemen (5-6). No one seemed trained on how to do it and I was embarassed for the staff. Sinces the hands free phone is an integral part of the and is even the law in Washington...I thought any of the sales should be able to demonstrate in a confident and orderly fashion how to "connect and set up the cell and program in a phone # or two and actually dial out and receive phone calls. Most people today own a cell phone with blue tooth capability. More

Chris McNamera was very responsive over the internet when I told him what I was interested in, he suggested a vehicle, sent the description and dealer invoice and then gave me a very good price. There was no pressure from either of these folks. After I had made my decision, Becky in finanace, was very professional and pleasant and efficient. It was the best experience I've had buying a vehicle and I would recommend this dealership to anyone. More

We did a lot of research before buying our new car. We shopped around quite bit at the different dealerships as well as online. I contacted Dick Hannah Subaru and worked with Chris McNamara online to ge shopped around quite bit at the different dealerships as well as online. I contacted Dick Hannah Subaru and worked with Chris McNamara online to get the initial price quote. I found him to be very helpful and friendly and easy to correspond with. Chris happily sent us a copy of the invoice and the window sticker before we made the trip to Vancouver. The original vehicle we were interested in suddenly became unavailable but Chris quickly got another Forester with the same features and in the same color delivered to the lot a couple of days later. When we got to the dealership we were greeted by Ron Mentek who seemed to be waiting for us to arrive. He too was friendly and helpful and took the time to answer our questions and take us on a test drive. Ron started the paperwork for us when we got back and everything was going well until the finalization portion when we were told by Kenny, the desk manager, that our trade in was going to generate very little value. Kenny offered us far less than the trade-in value listed on the Kelly Blue Book web site. After further negotiations he raised the price of the trade in value to a dollar amount that was at least workable and after about 5 hours we had ourselves a new car. We loved dealing with our sales person Ron Mentek but we felt that Kenny was more aggressive and that lessened the overall experience for us. We had friends who told us that Dick Hannah wasn't your every day car dealership; that they were different and treated their customers better than most. I would say that was definitely the case with Ron and Chris but we would not want to work with Kenny again. Truth be told, if it was not for Ron we probably would have walked away and worked with a dealership closer to home, but we really enjoyed working with Ron and one bad apple shouldn't spoil the bunch. Overall we were happy with our experience and we're very happy with our new Forester. Thanks Ron! More

Subarus kinda sell themselves so it matters that I would be able to skip the SELL ME THE CAR to negotiate the freebies and get the closest in-deal I could get. I was there five hours. I was prepared. I do find it funny that even NOW that paper with the four boxes appeared. Let's retire that negotiating model! The computer form for pricing the sale was more helpful. See I want to see ALL the Numbers. Tax. No lumping. Mike Kriew, my salesman, as I learned that day, always has a smile. He was really great. I got the usual set up for the sale as all dealerships, get to meet everyone, but their style is upfront and transparent for me, I negotiated for what I wanted. And they did a good job of being patient and giving in a little. I like that. The Finance Mgr is a wonderful woman and answered directly to all my questions. I wanted an ext. warranty and I got the number with tax included right after I asked. Mike gave me everything eventually to look at. I did have a color attack, and they gave me my space. There was a fair amount of paper shuffling, I know to be careful signing anything. They made an easy deal for me. I got the numbers put where I wanted them in those boxes. Paperwork done, I drove my old car home, Mike drove my car, and the Lot Boy drove behind Mike. We got to our house, my husband signed the papers and wrote the check and I have a beautiful NEW CAR in my garage!!!! I will own this car for about ten years. More
I was extremely pleased with my overall experience buying my Used Subaru. I was expecting to go in and have to deal with an aggresive car salesman. I went in to look at used subaru's and did not expect to buy one that Sunday night, but I did. And I LOVE MY NEW (USED) SUBARU !!!!!!!!!! I would definately recommend Dick Hannah Subaru to anyone wanting to buy a new car.
