Went to Dick Hannah VW after a few other places. Was looking for a new VW Jetta. The other dealerships didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but Dick Hannah did. My wife and I worked with a salesm looking for a new VW Jetta. The other dealerships didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but Dick Hannah did. My wife and I worked with a salesmen named Tan N. He was great compared to the other ones we encountered. Very helpful, honest, and didn't hassle us over any issues that came up. Got in and out with in 2 hours i think. That has to be a record for us. Thanks More

My parents went to Dick Hannah VW after having a not so pleasant experience with a sales consultant at Armstrong VW. Because of a problem Ekai had to find a way to get the car I wanted from Armstrong VW as pleasant experience with a sales consultant at Armstrong VW. Because of a problem Ekai had to find a way to get the car I wanted from Armstrong VW as soon as possible. He made it happen within the next day. I now have my dream car, a 2012 VW GTI. Long story short, he made the process quick and pain free. I recommend Ekai to anyone looking to buy a new car without the classic "Dealer Tricks" that you always hear about. I will be seeing him in 5 years when I am ready for my next car. :) More

I visited Dick Hannah in reference to a Volkswagen rabbit they had advertised on the internet at a very good price for years and miles. I drove 355 miles from Spokane WA. to Portland Oregon for a very dissap they had advertised on the internet at a very good price for years and miles. I drove 355 miles from Spokane WA. to Portland Oregon for a very dissapointing experience. Prior to making this trip I asked some very straight forward questions of the internet manager Jay and the salesman whom he referred me to, Amir. The main concerns I had were about availablilty of the vehicle if I was going to drive that far, value of my trade-in, and pre-arranged financing with my credit union. As to availability, the car was there when I got there on Saturday and was in very nice condition although it had been hastily detailed and smelled less than pleasant for a vehicle with only 20k miles. We took it for a couple test drives and were pleased with it's features and performance. We hoped the smell would air out. When we sat down to the deal the salesman had the manager value my trade, a 2005 V6 mustang coupe, which when asked for a rough value before we left were told it was impossible to do without seeing, understandable enough. What I didn't understand however was the offer 1000 below KBB trade-in value of "fair" condition. The car only had 56k miles on it with an excellent interior and at least good exterior which by KBB's own definitions was a good condition vehicle. After some negotiating they finally came up to 300 above the fair value, to 8200. I found that interesting since they had an 04 mustang v-6 coupe on their lot they were asking 10k for and it had 86k miles on it. They also had an 05 V6 coupe they wwere asking 12k for with 40k miles. I suppose they are a business and need to make a profit but felt they could have been more open and just said that, instead of battling for an hour to tell me MY car wasn't worth what it WOULD be worth if it was THEIR car. Moving on. When we came to the financing issue I had indicated at least 6 times I had financing through my credit union and asked would it be a problem and did I need anything from them before I came. The answer was the same, no problem. No problem for them, because all I had to do was sign a "back-up" contract with them at a higher percentage and have my credit union re-finance it when I got back to Spokane. (It was Sunday at this point and we could not contact my bank.) I wasn't comfortable with this so I left without the car and returned to Spokane. Here's the rub. On it's face none of these issues alone were that out of character for a dealership, but that's just it. It is 2012, and shouldn't we expect if not demand some character and integrity from the people we do business with. Car dealerships ARE evolving and some do seem to have realized the old pressure tactics and bait and switch type actions are just no longer acceptable. We as consumers have a duty to use our buying power and force these folks to change their tactis or face reduced sales. I would never buy a car from any Dick Hannah dealership and strongly reccommend others not to do so as well. I am sorely dissapointed that thier behavior is allowed to remain in the marketplace. We got a quote from Eric via internet on a Jetta lease. We agreed on his quote and made an appointment with Eric. We drove from The Gorge to Portland for the appointment... to find there was NO ERIC. We received another salesman that knew nothing about what we wanted. After hours of going back and forth with Travis and his manager, they advised the quote we had IN WRITING was a mistake. As a mom, taking my 4 month old and my 11 year old with Autism to sit in a car dealer for a day (I thought it would be a quick paper signing as we had already agreed on a price via the phone).. to be manipulated and lied to is unexcusable. Mistake by the internet dude or not. More

We walked out of Dick Hannah with what we thought was a great deal on a 2009 used car with low miles. We even bought an extended warranty which we though would be prudent. It seemed like a great deal form what the sales person told us. We were wrong! The car's check engine light went on less than 3,000mi after driving it off of the lot. Everything is fine right because we have two warranties? Wrong! First of all the dealership sales staff told my wife that the car had a 1 year limited certified warranty via the dealership. That should cover some of the mechanical repair? Wrong! It has a warranty on ONLY the durable parts like windshield wiper blades and nothing mechanical in the car. This is LIE NUMBER ONE! Second we were told that our extended "bumper to bumper" 7 year, 75,000 mile warranty could be used at ANY dealership of the same make of the car IF we lived more than 50 mi from Dick Hannah. Well, we do live more than 50 miles from Dick Hannah and took it to a dealership for repairs and low and behold, the work would not be completely covered and we had to pay for repairs because the warranty only covers repairs at Dick Hannah! xxx! Seriously?! What is the point of lying? My wife does not get angry easily, but she was livid. LIE NUMBER TWO! So we thought we could clarify the situation and called the Dick Hannah dealership to get clarification on our "double" warranties. We called 5+ times over 16 days and finally when we got a hold of someone in finance, they said, "well you should have read the website" regarding these warranties. Oh REALLY? When I am making a $20,000+ purchase I would expect some straight forward and accurate facts so I can make an informed decision. LIES or even half truths are what make people upset, frustrated, and angry. So what have we learned from all of this? Do NOT go to Dick Hannah to buy a car because they will tell you anything, including LIES to get you to sign on the line to buy a vehicle! We will never go back to Dick Hannah, and we have an will tell all our friends about this experience!!! More
