I would expect more 'red carpet' service when dealing with a dealership. Perhaps an overall inspection and topping off of fluids or similar. I knew I would spend $1,000+ no matter what because I chose a dealership over a local repair shop so I have to say I expected a little more for my money. Also, I find it unsettling that there is an $80 charge for every problem or concern that is investigated. Other dealers and shops give you one credit hour of labor for that charge regardless of if there is one problem or ten. I went into the shop for a transmission issue and was told it is $80 to investigate and another $80 to check for anything else I had a concern with. After they investigated the transmission (which involves plugging in the DRB III Tool and reading an error code, taking 15 minutes? Maybe 30?) I asked if they could check out my rain sensor, which was not functioning. I was told that would cost an additional $80 to look at the rain sensor (which I know needs replacing). Rather than spend another $80 to hear what I already know, they missed out on the opportunity for the income of replacing the sensor. More
When i first purchased my mini van in July of 2009 I had some late fees and over milage charges from my previous vehicle my sales man told me that not to worry he wopuld take care of them. One month later recieved a bill from chysler financial stating I owed for these charges I immediately went to Dick Scott and was informed by Jason Scott that there was nothing he could do because the dealer in which I dealt with had been fired for not only making these types of promises to me but other customers as well. The vehicle itself has been average at best having been in for service 3 times in two years. I recently took it in for service and was informed by serviceman Harley Wood that my rear brakes were "80 to 90% worn and needed to be replaced" when I asked him for a price he told me $450.00 I told him no thank you I would do them myself. When I removed the wheels and calipers two days later I discovered that my pads were only 50% worn at the most the rotors were a little worn but not terrible. Very upset because I felt I had been lied to and almost taken advantage of I went back to the service department with the pads and rotors that i removed from my van and asked the serviceman to show me how these pads are 80 to 90% worn he said "that Harley Wood wasnt working and there was nothing in his notes that stated my brakes were that bad". Can say for certain i will not buy another vehicle from Dick Scott and will let everybody I know how ive been treated. More

I dropped off my Jeep for service at 7am without an appointment and was promptly written up. I used the convenient dealer shuttle to get home. Just to verify the estimate, I called around to a few other shops, and found the price to be similar to what other shops would charge. My vehicle was ready at the promised time the next day. Everything was repaired properly and my Jeep is running great. Since my Jeep was already in the shop, I asked them to change the oil and this is the only part of the service that I had any complaints about. The price was $35, which is not great for a vehicle that only holds 4 qts. of oil, but I figured it was saving me some time. But for that price, I would think they would top up any of the other fluids (like most of the oil change shops will), but that was not the case. They only do a "Fluid level inspection" and they didn't even check the air pressure in my tires. I guess this is a little nit-picky, but sometimes the little things make all of the difference. Other than the oil change, I am completely satisfied with my experience and I will probably go back to this dealer for service in the future. More
In general, very good service. However, I initially was requesting a silver vehicle and the black vehicle on the lot was all that could be found. I question how hard an attempt was made at trying to locat requesting a silver vehicle and the black vehicle on the lot was all that could be found. I question how hard an attempt was made at trying to locate the vehicle I wanted in silver - or at the very least they could have maybe communicated their efforts better. Originally when I went in they located two silver cars at another dealer. You were going to swap with them. The next day when I was supposed to take delivery of my new vehicle, I was told the other two silver cars were already sold and my only choice was to take the black one on your lot! I now have a black vehicle which I am still happy about however it wasn't my initial choice and was left feeling as though something happened and ultimately they wanted to push inventory on your lot. More

They held my car for 2+ days. They could not replicate the problem so no repair was done. There was no cost for which I was happy. I had to call them on 4 different occassions looking for information. Each time they said they would call me back with more info but there was never a call. I felt as if they were not paying any attention to my car because of the lack of communication. Everyone I dealt with were very nice and professional. They just need to work on their communication of what is going on. More
I had not purchased a car from a dealership in over 20 years. I was nervous. However, I have to say this was a very pleasant experience. Amber was great.
