We were at another Dodge/Jeep dealership in the area looking at a new car and left that dealership extremely put off by the games they were playing with us. They clearly knew how much they wanted to gi looking at a new car and left that dealership extremely put off by the games they were playing with us. They clearly knew how much they wanted to give us for our trade in before ever having looked at it. They were also playing a lot of games with pricing. We couldn't take it so we left and went out for dinner. On our way home, we passed by Dick Scott Dodge because we were curious what price they were selling similar cars to our trade in. We then walked around their new car section. We had shown up after their listed closing time but a couple of folks were still there. David Hamel came out to greet us and we explained our earlier experience that evening. He took us into the office and assured us that if we wanted to purchase a new car, he would do everything he could to make it happen. He had our car appraised and they offered us $1,500 more than the other dealership. They also were able to put us in a vehicle one trim level above what the other dealership was proposing, and they did so at less cost. Dave and Dick Scott Dodge went above and beyond, staying after their closing time and taking all the time necessary to work everything out for us. These folks are first class, and we won't forget that in the future. More
Yvonne Morris was the best car salesperson I've ever dealt with. Efficient, moved things forward without pushing. Answered all questions. Quick response. Professional. Although the service staff were friendly and thorough...the cost (as compared to alternatives) was very very high, and alternatives to reduce cost was available but not made aware of until after thorough...the cost (as compared to alternatives) was very very high, and alternatives to reduce cost was available but not made aware of until after service was authorized and performed. This is very disappointing, given the current state of the economy...and in future will force me to seek a service center that's more cost effective and sensitive to the community they service. We have been loyal customers of Dick Scott...I'm afraid I'm left no alternatives. As they say, it costs 10 times more to win a new customer than it does to retain those already loyal to your company! Our experience was very good. Anthony was very friendly, personable and had a great personality which made the shopping experience enjoyable rather than painful since we were there a while. The only issues personable and had a great personality which made the shopping experience enjoyable rather than painful since we were there a while. The only issues we encountered was that we had to continuously wait for him to go back and forth with his manager trying to get us into our price range. We were up front from the very beginning with what we could afford and it wasnt until the third time we were about to go home and think about it that they finally came back and got us into our range. Had they done that from the beginning, or at least sooner, we wouldnt have had to spend over 3 hours at the dealership discussing pricing. Also, there was a paperwork error where the wrong VIN number ended up on our paperwork, so I had to come back 2 days later and resign all the paperwork. Lastly, I understand in todays economy everyone is trying to cut costs, but sending people who have just purchased a new vehicle home with a partial tank of gas seems ridiculous...those are easy customer satisfaction points. Or easy dissatisfaction by giving a partial tank. I believe most people who had a full tank to go home with wouldnt think twice or think to mention it on a survey like this, but send them home with a partial tank and they will definitely notice. Thats low-hanging fruit in the customer satisfaction realm in my opinion, I have purchased/leased 7 vehicles over the years from various dealerships as recently as last year (not including this purchase of course) and I have NEVER been sent home with a partial tank of gas. I have h Dear Reader, I leased my 3rd Chrysler 300c from Snethkamp in Redford in May of 2010, because Fox Hills had closed, but I loved my last 300. I have had my vehicle serviced regularly at Dick Scott for convenience. On May 25, 2011 I went through some water during a heavy rain downpour and my engine seized. I had the vehicle towed to your dealership and called my insurance company (USAA). In 40 years of driving I have never heard of water causing this problem for an engine, but I learn that the engine needed to be replaced. The adjuster was out in a few days and approved the repairs, over 9,000.00 dollars worth, and estimated it would take about 5 days after the parts were received. I stopped into the service department several times to check on the progress of the repairs, because there was little or no communication from my service advisor. On Friday 6-8-2011 when I called, I was told the car was done, but they could not release it until payment was received. I asked what the problem was, and was told by my service advisor that he would contact the adjuster and call me back. The adjuster called me and asked if it was alright to pay the dealer directly, and I said yes, but never got the call from the advisor. I called at 5:45 pm and was told Darryl had left for the day. I stopped in around noon on Saturday, to find out the status and was told I would have to wait until payment had been received. I called both Monday and Tuesday, and received a call back on my way to work Tuesday, that I could pick up the car. I replied that I would pick the car up between 5:00 and 6:00 pm, on my way home from work. Called 15 min. before coming, had to wait behind 4 in line, car was not ready to go or washed! If there was a dealer that was convenient for service I would be there. I feel that poor communication and planning was responsible for the repairs taking 28 days, and meant I was in a rental far longer than I should have been. I have been a good customer! Please don't chase me away. David H. DeLong dhd5055@aol.com More

I found the service department, the lease inspector, the receptionist, the credit/financial person, and the person who answers the phone to be quite professional and accomodating. They were wonderful to wo receptionist, the credit/financial person, and the person who answers the phone to be quite professional and accomodating. They were wonderful to work with and kind. I found the sales person and sales manager to be a bit pushy and assertive. I recently leased my vehicle and found the price was right but honestly, I will work with another sales person and sales manager if I decide to shop at the same dealership. I do plan on using the service department in the future, however. More
