The service dept let me know exactly what was needed for my car. When I wasn’t able to pick up my car until the following day, Tim was very understanding with that! I’ve bought several cars from this dealership but because I live in Marin I have been bringing my car to the Marin dealer for maintenance. I decided to bring my car for maintenance to Walnut Creek becaus I live in Marin I have been bringing my car to the Marin dealer for maintenance. I decided to bring my car for maintenance to Walnut Creek because I have a relative nearby that I was visiting. I was disappointed in the lack of communication that I’m accustomed to receiving at the Marin dealership. Also, in addition to scheduled maintenance I requested the push start button be checked as I had been having to push it several times to start the car. I was caught off guard that this item cost $450 to replace! I’ve never had an issue in the past with any ignition starters that were keyed, so to have my first keyless ignition stop working and the cost $450 to replace made me question whether the keyless ignition is a good idea. What good is a feature that loses its function and costs $450 to replace, when the previous key ignitions I’ve had never had any issues? It has been a couple weeks since my service, and I am now having problems with the emergency brake setting, which I believe must be connected to the recent service since I never had any issues with it before the service, and it is located in the same general area as the keyless ignition. To have to drive all the way out to Walnut Creek again for something I believe is due to poor service is very upsetting. It has made me reconsider whether I will buy my next VW from the Walnut Creek dealer as I’m concerned that perhaps that dealership has lost the high customer service that it had in the past. The Marin dealership has been much more thorough with the service I have received there. More
I had my TDI in for service and a SMOG check. They took a few days due to parts. I came in to get the car and nobody explained that the DMV selected my car to go to a STAR SMOG shop and had to be certified t few days due to parts. I came in to get the car and nobody explained that the DMV selected my car to go to a STAR SMOG shop and had to be certified there. I mean it was one of the reasons I brought the car in for service. I understand that they don't control the DMV, but this should have been communicated to the customer at pick up. I was told the SMOG check was completed and since they send the certificate directly to the DMV, I wasn't aware that it now required another SMOG check. I realized that I hadn't received my new sticker, so I contacted the DMV and was told that no certificate had been submitted. Just extremely bad follow through on Dirito Brothers part. I'm very disappointed. More
When one goes to a dealership for routine maintenance that is charged at a premium price, it is disappointing when they won’t be bothered to even wash the windows or vacuum the floors. Especially when J that is charged at a premium price, it is disappointing when they won’t be bothered to even wash the windows or vacuum the floors. Especially when JiffyLube does provide the service for their customers. Service and time to complete the job was good but was truly disappointed that something so automatic can’t be done. More

The service advisor listened and asked clarifying questions to make sure he understood the problem well. He called me when the car was done and explained what was done to fix the problem. The best questions to make sure he understood the problem well. He called me when the car was done and explained what was done to fix the problem. The best - he asked me to bring back the car if the problem is not resolved. More
