IF I CAN LEAVE 0 START IT WOULD BE MORE ACCURATE 1-STAR ALERT: DECEPTIVE BAIT-AND-SWITCH & UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT DEPLOYMENT Avoid this showroom floor entirely! I have been working with this dealer for ove ALERT: DECEPTIVE BAIT-AND-SWITCH & UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT DEPLOYMENT Avoid this showroom floor entirely! I have been working with this dealer for over a month now on a particular truck, their names manager, sales person, customers relation all knew who I was and the truck I was interested in. From the first offer, the number I was at was the number they end up discounting the truck to after a month instead of just selling me the truck. They slashed the price 2 times at over 5500.00 clearly not due to demand. On June 4th, I finalized a written, itemized contract price agreement of $32,665.00 flat Out The Door with $0 cash down on their 2020 Yukon Denali XL. Based strictly on this agreed invoice structure, I authorized a targeted tier A auto financing credit check Their finance desk instantly extracted my credit tape through 700Credit resulting hard inquiry on my bureau. I was then text by my sales person "sending it out now" after confirming the down payment. I did not hear from Dixie GMC the remainder of the afternoon. This morning, the salesperson texted me claiming they '"sold" the truck late in the day (indicative of after my deal was already pending) follow by they "never ran my application anyway" because the vehicle suddenly sold. ALL LIES. When escalated to management, Sales Manager Dave explicitly confessed that the truck was actually sold and deemed unavailable BEFORE they ever processed my credit profile. conveniently after working with them for over a month and after they pulled my credit another buyer magically "appeared". Meanwhile, the truck remains actively listed for sale on their public live website right now still. They extracted my private credit data with zero legal inventory intent simply to run a deceptive bait-and-switch scheme. Formal regulatory cases officially filed following this event. More
