After looking at RVs online and visiting another Virginia RV dealer with less than satisfactory results, we found Dodd carrying a used class A that re After looking at RVs online and visiting another Virginia RV dealer with less than satisfactory results, we found Dodd carrying a used class A that really interested us. Fresh from our previously mentioned failed RV purchase, we stopped in to look at 2 potential buys. Our sales lady, Tina, was very straightforward about the first one, telling us there was extensive water damage to part of it and that it was definitely a project RV (not what we wanted). We went to the second one and she let us take our time looking around and under and through this one. It had a couple of problems that we could find, nothing major. She was honest that an RV of this age (over 10 years old) was not under any kind of warranty/guarantee but that they did not sell an RV unless it was "right". She was correct! After we agreed that we still wanted it, they did a thorough inspection and actually found a couple of other small problems. Other than some minor cosmetic issues, EVERYTHING was taken care of before we picked it up. Each time we dealt with anyone at Dodd, we were met with courtesy, honesty, and kindness. My husband took this one for a test drive and then went through all the systems with an employee so that we would know how to operate and use everything in our RV. From the get-go, Dodd was honest with the price and fees, and they were both efficient and reliable. When we were told we would get a follow up phone call, it happened at the time we were told. When we were notified of a problem the shop team found, we were told how long it would be before the part was repaired/replaced. They did a great job cleaning it up before it was signed over to us. Arnold, who is "just the papers guy" was quick, clear, and helpful with getting all of the legal papers and titles moved over to us. At no time did we feel pressured or obligated to buy anything, which we appreciated. Everyone in the store, in the sales area, in the shop, even the receptionist, was very kind to us. We were by no means dropping the kind of money I'm sure other people come in to spend but we were treated just like we were spending a million dollars. This is a situation where I feel like we came in as strangers but left as family. I'm sure when it comes time to upgrade, we will be back here. More

Roof replacement on a 2013 Rockwood Wind Jammer We returned from our Spring trip to Florida, this April, with the membrane roof ripped from the center back about 10 feet on the left side of our Wind We returned from our Spring trip to Florida, this April, with the membrane roof ripped from the center back about 10 feet on the left side of our Windjammer travel trailer. We had our insurance look at the damage and they declined our claim. Melissa Grace, the service manager, worked with us and Rockwood manufacturers to find a solution. Because of how the damage occurred Rockwood agreed to provide materials and pay for labor. With Melissa’s efforts and the efforts of many others at Dodd RV, we picked up our unit, on time to go camping with the grandchildren. Our appreciation also goes out to the service personnel and Ricky Miner for the hands on roof replacement work. We thank Pete Foertsch too, for curing our truck wave when pulling our unit. Standing in the hot sun helping to adjust our hitch! The most important part of buying an RV from a dealer is the dealer being there when you have a problem. We can tell you that Dodd RV has always been there for us. More

After our first purchase (not from Dodd) we discovered pretty quickly the trailer was too small, es My wife and I are fairly new to the camping scene. After our first purchase (not from Dodd) we discovered pretty quickly the trailer was too small, especially if we were stuck inside due to weather conditions. We started the search process for something a bit larger that would meet our needs. We discovered finding a dealer who was honest and helpful was more difficult than we thought it would be. We were just about ready to give up when my wife found a travel trailer that she was really interested in located at your dealership in Yorktown. I spoke with Shane to make sure the trailer was still available. He told me that it was but he was not working the following day when we wanted to see it, but to ask for Mike and he would find someone to help us. We drove about 80 miles to take a look at it. We met with Mike and he introduced us to Greg. It was the beginning of the best experience we have had with an RV dealer. Greg was extremely knowledgeable. My wife and I both liked the trailer very much, so we traded in our 2015 Surveyor and purchased a 2018 Rockwood Windjammer. About a week later we went down to pick it up. Arnold was extremely helpful and covered every detail in closing the deal. Richard gave us a very thorough explanation of everything on the trailer and showed us how everything operated. We did find one small problem and an air vent had not been installed. We were surprised both items were taken care while we were in the parts department with Rob finding a few items we needed. Everyone we met at Dodd RV, from the receptionist who greeted us, to the service technician (who interrupted his lunch to help unhitch our old trailer), to the parts department for their knowledge, all the way to the sales staff and manager, all were more than happy to help us. As my wife said “Do you know the difference in a house and a home? All of the other RV dealers are houses; Dodd RV is like coming home”. We will do all of our future business with them, and will recommend them to our friends. We would like to thank all of the folks at Dodd RV Yorktown for making our purchase so enjoyable. He was friendly but not "pushy", he took the time to show us what we wanted to see, gave us his card and RV brochure then let us go without the heavy sales pressure. Due to waiting for a special order truck to tow (for a new 5th wheel), we were'nt sure when we could buy the new RV, but we already had a trip planned with our old TT RV. New truck came in less than a week before we were leaving for the trip. We live about an hour away, so I called (a couple of weeks after we were there in person), and Scott helped us work out the sales details by phone and computer. Their pricing and trade-in negotiations were very fair and I feel like I got a great deal. Then came the bad customer part...I knew I was rushing, but asked for the new RV asap for the trip we had planned. New truck came in, I was excited to get the new RV to go with it, right?! Scott, Arnold (Business Manager), Rick (Technician), Rob (Parts) and I'm sure a whole lot of other associates made it happen! In 3 days time, we made the sales deal and received our brand new, beautiful Grand Design Reflection 337 RLS on the way to a 10-day vacation. THESE FOLKS WERE AMAZING! Exceptional customer service from every single person we encountered. And it wasn't just for show, they worked hard to make sure our new RV was properly inspected and ready to go, even on such short notice. EVERY SINGLE PART of our new RV worked right from the dealer, that is a definite first for us. We took it through the paces on the 10-day outing and it was perfect.
