Great folks at Dodd RV in Yorktown We had visited many dealers before we purchased from Dodd RV in Yorktown. We knew we were at the right place as soon as we met Tina. She knew exactly what she had in stock that would fit our specifications as far as size, tow weight, etc... At that time there was nothing that fit all of our requirements, but we were so impressed with the level of service that we went and traded in our tow vehicle for a larger one, and then came back to Dodd and purchased a camper that was exactly what we wanted. Everyone from the receptionist at the front desk that started our experience, to the service techs who we finished with were absolutley fantastic. We had been shopping not just for a camper, but for a dealer to build a relationship with. The dealer we had once dealt with, and purchased 3 campers from, was no longer in business. We have now found a new dealer to build a lifetime relationship with. I can pretty much guarantee that when we are ready to purchase another camper or RV our first and only stop will be Dodd RV in Yorktown. More

Being on a time-deadline, we searched reviews and found Dodd RV to have incredible ratings. We were not disappointed! From the minute I walked in, everyone was welcoming and helpful. Scott Hudgens was my sales associate. I told him what we were looking for, and he directed me straight to available inventory that met our needs. We settled on a travel trailer with a bunkhouse; perfect for our family of 5 to camp in with our dog (and cat!) Knowing we were on a time deadline, he kindly introduced me that day to Arnold Smith, the finance manager, and we were able to move ahead quickly with financing and purchase. The process as incredibly smooth, and before the purchase we had an excellent and thorough walk-through with Ricky in the maintenance dept. He took a great deal of time to make sure I understood everything and how it worked. After the walk-thru, I went to the parts shop and purchased a few items. Ken helped us out as well, and delivered our RV to our site. He helped me get everything connected and hooked up initially. I wound up returning to the parts dept after about a week for more things. :) I would HIGHLY recommend a surge protector, the RHINO hoses, drop ins for the tanks and the hose buddy. At a BARE minimum. As I had questions later on, I was able to call Melissa in the Service Dept and ask her how to reset a fuse etc. Everyone has been very friendly, calling for follow up to make sure everything went smoothly. We love our new travel trailer from Dodd RV and couldn't be happier!! I highly recommend them to everyone I know, and have met already a number of other RV'ers who also love Dodd RV! If you are looking to purchase an RV of any type, Dodd RV will have your back every step of the way. More

I felt bad contacting him so much and at all hours but he made me feel comfortable and was easy to deal with. He sent me pictures and even a video of the motorhome since I was not able to see it in person until the day I arrived to pick it up. I was greeted with smiles and made me feel like I knew everyone there. Joey and Scott showed me how everything worked and I was on my way. I am still in contact with Scott even after I have left with my motorhome. He answers my questions and I never in the whole process felt like I was just another customer. I am lucky to have found Dodd RV and Scott. More

Awesome Staff in Yorktown!! We have purchased many campers in our time and always remain loyal to the business that treats you right. Since our last camper place went out of business we were in the market for a new dealership to do long term business with. We are from Elizabeth City,NC and traveled all over as well as searched the internet for quite a while. Once we got to our farthest destination ~ we stumbled upon Tina and the rest is history. She really went out of her way to find us that perfect camper. At one point, because of our limitation in towing ~ she recommended that we go the the Portsmouth location to check out one that they had. To our disappointment, we did not receive the same greeting as in Yorktown. The young lady seemed rather irritated with the referral and only pointed out the camper and went on her way. With that being said ~ we had made up our minds that we would not be dealing with this particular dealership. After looking at several more dealerships, my husband and I both decided that the best place for us would be Dodd RV in Yorktown, VA! We even went as far as getting another vehicle so that we could be sure to tow something off of that lot. Thanks Tina, and all the other staff for such a warm welcome and wonderful experience. Best Service Ever We were having an electrical problem in our fifth wheel and stopped in for assistance. While making an appointment, Joey over heard our conversation. He offered to take a quick look right there in the parking lot. In less than one minute he located the problem and called for the part. He installed the part in less than ten minutes and we were on our way. We have never received this kind of A1 service anywhere. You can't ask for a better group of people! First Time Buyers This was the first camper my husband and I have bought. I must say everyone we encountered at Dodd RV from the time we were just looking, to the time we finally made a decision to buy, went above and beyond making us feel comfortable. While negotiating the price of the camper there was one sticking point (568) which could have broken the deal. But due to negotiations in other areas and the professional demeanor of the gentlemen in the office (Greg and Arnold) a deal was made. When we went to pick up the camper Greg and Arnold stayed well past closing time in order to finalize the paperwork and answer our never-ending questions. Never one time did they try to rush us out the door; instead, they were very professional and helpful. Arnold has a wonderful sense of humor and puts you right at ease. Both Greg and Arnold made sure we were ready to begin our new journey with our new camper. Thank you to all the wonderful folks who worked with us at Dodd RV to make this a memorable experience. From the moment we walked in and were greeted with fresh baked cookies, to the moment we were walking out to drive our new camper away our experience was second to none. Tina and Mike in sales were great. Tina showed us a few campers that were suitable for our family's needs. She was very knowledgable about each unit she showed us. She was very funny and never tried to push anything on us. Mike in sales was also always more than willing to assist us when Tina was busy. Tina and Mike really made us feel like family. Dan (the new service guy), Joey, and Ricky in service did an excellent job on the walk through and took the time to make sure I knew how to operate everything. They literally took about 1.5 hours and and went over everything inside and out. We also left our truck with them so they could install our weight distribution and sway control hitch while we went inside to do paperwork, visit the accessory store, and eat a couple more cookies. Dan did most of the walk through with Joey and Ricky shadowing him because he was new. Dan did a great job. Our final part of our experience at Dodd RV on the Peninsula was with Arnold Smith in finance. He was very professional and good at his job because we swore up and down we were not going to buy an extended warranty. Trust me! Buy the five or six year, it's worth it. When we were finished inside and walked outside they had the hitch hooked up, camper hooked up and everything ready to go. They really do make you feel like part of the Dodd RV family throughout your entire experience. More
