Don Hattan was founded in 1949 and is the oldest dealership in Wichita. Don Hattan was a Chevrolet Motor Division Accounting Manager when the opportunity arose to purchase a Chevrolet store. Jim Hattan assumed operational duties in 1979 and led the company through expansion for the next two decades. Jill Hattan became the general manager in 2002 and dealer principal in 2010.

The last few years have been very exciting at Don Hattan Dealerships! We went from one dealership to four in only three years. Our first expansion in 2015, we brought used cars to El Dorado. In 2017, we opened a used car and service facility in Derby. in early 2018, we opened Don Hattan Ford in Augusta. We are surrounding the Wichita area with dealerships to better serve our customers.
Generations of customers have bought their vehicles from our dealerships and we are still the family owned business we have always been. We want the sense of "hometown values" to come through no matter which location you might visit. We hope you see the difference for yourself.

I’ve bought my last two vehicles from Don Hattan in Derby and cannot fathom the utter disregard for the latest car that they sold me, which is once again at their service department. The service department has had my car longer than I have owned it. And although under complete warranty, still can’t seem to fix it or supply me with an adequate rental when they have it for months on end. It is has been towed once again to the Derby location and there is no rental available. They claimed to fix it a second time after the first time did not work and when it was still having the same problems, I brought it back in and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Now it won’t even start. The service manager Steve even said it prob needs to go to a Chrysler specialist because they can’t figure it out. I have been told that I should go ahead and trade it in but the sales department who is 10 feet away from service department is not comfortable doing that because of the shape that it’s in due to Don Hattan service department not properly fixing it. I have all receipts of all previous service and lack of communication with the service department. I had my Jeep for probably two or three months before everything went wrong on it after they claimed to have the 51 or 52 point inspection on it. Now no one will help me out with anything at all and I do not know what to do. I have 13 year-old triplets to tow around and not a vehicle. They are the ones who sold me this piece of crap and they are not willing to do anything about it. More

My Don Hattan experience was very disappointing; I will never do business with them again. I went to Don Hattan Chevrolet in Park City KS looking at a car for my daughter’s 18th birthday gift. I found on never do business with them again. I went to Don Hattan Chevrolet in Park City KS looking at a car for my daughter’s 18th birthday gift. I found one I liked, and they gave me a price. I spoke with a gentleman in their finance department, and we agreed on a deal. To speed things up, he took my information to get things started with the paperwork. I told him I could not make it back that day but would be in first thing the next morning to sign and pay. No problem he said, and that I could come any time, he’ll have it ready. I received a text confirming my appointment, telling me they were excited to meet me and show me what makes Don Hattan dealerships so unique. The next morning their salesman called, telling me they sold the car last night. I was a very disappointed with my “unique” experience, and I will never again do business with Don Hattan. More

I had a good exchange with the salesman that sold me my vehicle. My overall visit and choice in a vehicle was okay. The dealership was, to my knowledge at the time, being honest with me and helpful. The 1 star rating comes from the fact that this dealership sold me a 4-wheel drive vehicle with two 255 tires and two 265 tires. Due to the size different in the tires, this caused the 255 tires to wear out much faster and has also caused who knows what damage to the drivetrain when we have used the 4WD capabilities. I am extremely frustrated that a dealership can overlook such an easy fix. I don't trust the service department to check over anything with my Tahoe anymore, because they also missed it a second time when I took my vehicle in for servicing and nothing was said to me. A dealership and service center should know the outcome of such a simple thing on a vehicle. More
