I purchased a new 2022 TLX TYPE - S 1/1/22. I drove from Venice FL to purchase the car. When I took delivery the vehicle had 4 miles on it total. A week into ownership I noticed the drivers side passenger d Venice FL to purchase the car. When I took delivery the vehicle had 4 miles on it total. A week into ownership I noticed the drivers side passenger door was not unlocking correctly. I took it to my local Acura dealer in Sarasota and they fixed the door no problem, but while there they noticed a problem with my car. The passenger side front fender who been removed and the bolts under the hood where it connects to the frame had obviously been removed and were "off center". So what I learned was that my car had been painted after Acura delivered it. The body panels do not line up properly and there is a hair that has been sprayed over during the painting process and it is in the paint very noticeable. When I called Mr. Yoda the GM at Esserman, he informed me that the law says that if a car is damaged on the lot for whatever reason prior to delivery, the dealership does not have to disclose the information if the amount of damage is under 2% of the invoice, however my car had never been damaged, but if it had... It would most likely have fallen under this loophole... I don't care about loopholes. If my "LIMITED EDITION" Type S car I paid a premium for has been painted for any reason and a body panel has been removed I want to know... ANYONE who buys a new car of any kind should know if body work has been done to it prior to being sold as a NEW CAR... DO NOT BUY HERE... These people will lie to your face over major things. More
