Recall went well but extra service price was ridiculous. We all hear how dealers overcharge for service but I've finally got some real comparison data. I went for a recall (which was done well, no complains) We all hear how dealers overcharge for service but I've finally got some real comparison data. I went for a recall (which was done well, no complains) and requested a quote just for a nob for the side mirror switch control. I was told that the nob was not sold separately and I had to buy the entire switch control for approximately $100 plus another $200+ for labor. Thus, more than $300 for this service. I declined and I was able to find the same part for $15.99 and a video that shows how to install it, which I can do it myself in less than 15 minutes. I am sorry but that's not justifiable and I am not bringing my car to the dealership for services ever again. More

Great experience!! Upon arrival I was quickly met by Greg and he began inspection on my car. He thoroughly told me what the service was for and what was covered under my Upon arrival I was quickly met by Greg and he began inspection on my car. He thoroughly told me what the service was for and what was covered under my warranty. After about 30 minutes, they discovered a water pump issue which changed the amount of time my car would be needed and so Greg arranged for a me to get a ride home. I was then updated throughout the time my car was at Esserman and was told when it was ready to be picked up. Greg is a wonderful service member who understands customer needs and happily answers all questions. He is an asset to the Esserman team. I mentioned I had a year left in my lease and was interested in the Tiguan. His face lit up and he had to show me the new R-Line Tiguan. He then introduced me to Wilfredo who took all my information and told me a bit about himself. I look forward to working with him when I’m ready to move into a new lease. More
