Why do I have to call after 2 days to get a status? When we moved to South Florida, I did a lot of research on local VW dealers in order to determine the best place to take my car for service. After ex When we moved to South Florida, I did a lot of research on local VW dealers in order to determine the best place to take my car for service. After extensive due diligence, I landed on Esserman. Many great reviews, but it was the furthest from where I live. That said, I started using your dealership and got great service the first couple years we lived here, through the DieselGate repair, etc. My primary contact was with Francisco as a Service Advisor. The last 2 or 3 times I've had the car in the shop though, I feel like the service and follow up I've received from my advisor has been subpar. That's not to say that Robert isn't friendly and attentive when I'm dropping off/picking up my car, but after not hearing anything from him or the dealership for 48 hours, I have to call and get a status. That wasn't the case with Francisco. He kept in regular contact to let me know what was going on with my car. I appreciate the fact that I'm given a loaner (I can't be out in Doral without a vehicle, my life happens in and around North Miami), but that doesn't mean I should be left in suspense with how long you will have my car. Also, I've mentioned this experience to a couple of my friends around here and they've asked "doesn't your dealer send you text alerts when the car is being looked at by a service technician, when the car is out of the shop, etc.?" Maybe that's something you guys should look into, an automated system that keeps your service customers informed, because as it stands now I feel like I need to look for a new dealership to get my car serviced at. It's tough for me to justify coming all the way out there and then have to chase down a status on my car daily. More
