He understood immediately my quest to again have standard shift. However, he cautioned me that it might take a few weeks as most cars that come in off lease are automatic. He must have kept my request in the forefront, for he rang me two days later, his voice full of enthusiasm, to suggest I stop by as soon as possible as a standard shift jetta had just been turned in. He seemed as pleased about the car materializing so quickly as I myself was. That relating to my feelings seemed clear at every turn. It was as if I had a partner in this venture which made going forward easy rather than daunting (as decision making situations often do). Additionally, I appreciated his thoroughness when explaining how each facet of my new car worked. Even if he had gone through that routine umpteen times with previous customers, there was no flagging in the lesson: he cared that I understood all the details before I drove away. More

I live in the city and there are many options there to get a car. I was clear about getting a VW Jetta and therefore decided to use Open Road in Manhattan as it was convenient. Didn't get the car and the overall experience was really frustrated. Through a co-worker I ended up calling Douglas Auto Group (and Vlad). Within two days everything was done!. It made total sense to look outside the city. Not only I was treated respectfully but also I was taken care of properly as a customer. Vlad was great. He took care of my case and ensured that I had a car in less than 48 hours!. I fully recommend Douglas Auto Group and encourage any potential customer in the city to drive out of your way from the city and pay them a visit. You won't regret it. Make sure you speak to Vlad. He is a great sales person (passionate, respectful, with a great attitude and willing to help you). After taking my car to another VW dealership in Union, on two different occasions for the same issue, I decided to bring it to Douglas VW, 45 min away! On my first visit he ordered replacement on all of the recalled parts without any hesitation and then started an oil consumption test. After failing this consumption test all the necessary parts were replaced. I am assured that car will be in top running condition and am beyond satisfied with the service I received. Furthermore the overall kindness and honesty I received from Rick was exceptional. I look forward to returning for maintenance and repairs only because of the hospitality I received at this dealership even though I live within 5 minutes of another. More

I tried to prepare myself as much as possible because I had such poor experiences elsewhere, everything I whole car buying process, go to Douglas VW. I chose Douglas mainly because of the agreessive but pleasant sales pitch from Steve about financing ability. I m so glad I did. Steve was a pleasure to work with. He listened to what I wanted. He was so professional but also down to earth. No pressure, no haggling. I was worried about the stress and the waiting around for hours and not get a car. Steve was such a great salesman he was clear. NONE of that happened here. I will always return for future purchases they have earned my respect and my trust. Nick is a terrific salesman! He is very attentive and certainly knows his stuff when it comes to the cars that he is selling. In addition, when the car arrived, Nick took his time and walked us through all the features of the car and also told us to call him if we ever have trouble with the car.
