it took three weeks to come to an agreement on the car. After signing the final papers and agreeing to everything I was asked to wait in the waiting area for over 3 minutes so they could get my car ready. After signing the final papers and agreeing to everything I was asked to wait in the waiting area for over 3 minutes so they could get my car ready. Guess what. The car wasn't even there. They apologized and said it might be in a few days (it was on its way). Three days later I picked it up but going through the final paperwork with the Finance Manager, he tried to get several hundred dollars more from me because "the salesman and Sales Manager made a mistake". If I had not left my deposit and signed the papers I would have walked out. On top of that he was condescending when I opted out of taking an extended warranty and kept questioning why on earth would I have taken it out on my trade-in-car but not this new one. If you value your patience, stay away. More

This is the second vehicle I have purchased with the expert assistance of East Coast Toyota Scion staff. I traded in my 2008 Prius (a great car!) for a 2010 Prius (even better than the 2008). Alex and expert assistance of East Coast Toyota Scion staff. I traded in my 2008 Prius (a great car!) for a 2010 Prius (even better than the 2008). Alex and Ronald were easy to work with, supportive in finding a financial solution that matched my needs, and generally just good guys. When my husband commented that he was hungry as he had not ate lunch, Alex offered to send out for food, this despite the cook out with hamburgers and hot dogs available for customers! The hard sell is just not the approach at this dealership rather an ethic and pride is evident in Alex's approach to sales. I know that I will be returning in another two years for my next trade in or trade up - I should say, because with each iteration, the Prius just gets better and better. The folks who prepped the new vehicle also did a great job. They were able to remove my Clean Air Pass (HOV Sticker) from the old car and put it on the new one, and also installed my Sirius radio from the old into the new. Thanks so much! And by the way, my husband had a hamburger and hot dog - a finicky eater, he said he enjoyed the food. More
My husband and I were more than pleased with the service that we received at East Coast Toyota. We had contacted this dealership because we were so disappointed with the (lack of) service that we received that we received at East Coast Toyota. We had contacted this dealership because we were so disappointed with the (lack of) service that we received from another Toyota dealership in the area. As soon as we contacted East Coast Toyota, we were immediately put into contact with Alfredo Sierra. He listened to our needs and concerns, located a vehicle and within 15 minutes emailed us the specs and all necessary info on the vehicle that we were interested in. We were able to get an appointment for the next morning. Upon arriving at the dealership, we were pleasantly greeted and only had to wait for our sales consultant, Ray Hungria, because he was filling the gas tank of our new car. As soon as we met him, he was extremely helpful and thorough with everything (i.e.- test driving, description of the car, lease terms, etc). We were ultimately in and out of the dealership with our new car within 3 hrs...less than 24 hrs after we initially contacted East Coast Toyota. We've never had such great overall service with a dealership before. More

I went to buy a RAV-4 in order to take advantage of 0% financing. The sales people were honest and very helpful. I agreed to a price and proceeded to sign a promise to buy. The sales people did not mentio financing. The sales people were honest and very helpful. I agreed to a price and proceeded to sign a promise to buy. The sales people did not mention that at the time I were to sign the financing documents, other charges would be added to the total cost. I am sure that sales people have been instructed not to mention the hidden charges that will follow. When I saw the Retail Installment Contract, where the price of the car, the sales tax and the hidden charges had been lumped together, I knew I was going to be fleeced. To make things worse I had agreed to buy an extended warranty contract and a 2 year service contract. When I questioned the financing person Frank why the price of the car, the sales tax and other charges had not been itemized separately, he changed the conversation by pointing out that the monthly payment without the extended warranty contract would be $378.88 and with the contract included would be only $393.50. I naively thought I was home free. Not so fast sucker. I went home and looked up at the hidden charges and found $567.00 more that I had bargained for. Documentary fee $300.00, window etching $177.00, and sales tax on the extendeed warranty contract $90. The price of the car, the window etching the vehicle sales tax and the $90.00 sales tax on the extended warranty contract were lumped together. The $300 documentary fee was itemized but was never disclosed in advance. The $299.00 and $8.00 for motor vehicle fees were properly itemized and I was aware of them by previous experience so I am not complaining about them. The other $567.00 were never disclosed and about them I have a big problem. I went to deal decently and honestly with a seller and was deceived. I have yet to find a car dealer that will conduct business in good faith and East Coast Toyota did not change my mindset. I refuse to blame the sales people as they were knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely courteous. I put the blame squarely on the dealership for using those tricks to take advantage of their customers. I will never buy again from East Coast Toyota or any other dealership. I will use a professional buyer to buy from unscropulous sellers. More
