When i first went to Subaru everything was great. we agreed on a deal which included them paying my last 2 months on a current lease. I told them i would be back in 2 weeks after i got my current car i agreed on a deal which included them paying my last 2 months on a current lease. I told them i would be back in 2 weeks after i got my current car inspected and set a date to return it. Then i got a call the next day saying that i had to take delivery of the car immediately or the deal was off. they gave me some story about the loan not guaranteed unless i took delivery that day. I guess my word or my deposit wasn't good enough, that they had to make up this excuse to get me to come in right away. Needless to say i came home from work and had to then clean out my car and rush over to the dealership before they closed to pick up my car. i asked about the check for my last 2 payments which i did not want to pay out of pocket and they said it would take a few days. I picked up my car on car on a monday so i called again on thursday just to figure out if when i might be getting this check. They told me that they had no idea when it would happen and they were waiting on clearance. called the next week and spoke to the manager said he would look into it and get back to me. called the next day and spoke to another manager who said he would have to look into it and would call me back. To which i told him that i want the check today and i want it delivered to my house in person. so when i got home my salesman was waiting for me outside my house with the check. so i guess thats ok customer service. 2 months later i get a call from my sales person and he tells me that the insurance company needs a copy of my window sticker and bill of sale. which after leasing 5 other cars i have never had to deal with. I didnt have time to talk so i told him i would call the insurance company myself and figure it out. They told me that they have been trying to contact the dealership and have had no luck getting the information. I then called the dealership to ask why they didnt send and told them that i wanted it sent asap. Well now they cant find my bill of sale. I have never had a more difficult time with a dealership after i buy the car. Horrible and completely baffling More
After many frustrating years struggling with incompetent and/or dishonest Car Dealership Service Departments I stumbled across Mike Puccio at another Subaru Dealership on Long Island about 15 years ago. I e and/or dishonest Car Dealership Service Departments I stumbled across Mike Puccio at another Subaru Dealership on Long Island about 15 years ago. I ended up buying two Subarus from them and having them service both until just recently because, and only because, Mike Puccio was my Service Advisor from Day One. Mike is honest, knowledgeable, reliable, responsive and responsible. I never had any reason to doubt that I could trust him to tell me the truth and recommend the best and most economical way to deal with any problems which might arise with either car. Unfortunately, when I called Mike's former dealership a few weeks ago to ask him a question I was told he didn't work there any more and the person with whom I spoke either would not or could not tell me where he had gone. Unwilling to lose contact with someone who had helped me out so often over the years, I started calling around to other Subaru dealerships on the Island and finally found Mike at East Hills Subaru,1039 Northern Blvd., Roslyn, NY (516-484-6633) where he is the new Service Manager. I was delighted to find him and soon had occasion to have one of my Subarus serviced. I took it to East Hills where Mike saw to it that I received the same excellent service I had been getting because of him for the last 15 years. If you're looking for honesty, competence, economy and peace of mind go to East Hills. Mike will do a great job for you. More
Sloppy work. Miss diagnose problem. Missing parts after service. Replaced O2 sensor after I told them it was prob an intake leak and sure enough it was. Went back for same problem and they then charged me service. Replaced O2 sensor after I told them it was prob an intake leak and sure enough it was. Went back for same problem and they then charged me for new gaskets for intake manifold. Took car home then noticed front hood ajar and cover for the top of motor was just left off so had to return for third time. Nobody pays attention More
They grossly overcharged and left many issues unfixed! I immediately went to another dealership where my problems were easily solved. James truly believes in Subaru's as he explained to us what makes the brand unique and worth owning. He taught us all about the Forester, It took a good deal of time to make up our minds, but James wa us what makes the brand unique and worth owning.
