Edward W. Napleton, opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.
Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise, and when that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.
Edward F. ("Ed") Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career as a kid sweeping the floors at the dealership owned by his father and grandfather. He moved up the ranks, serving as a technician, then in sales and finance, and eventually as a general manager. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois.
Today the Napleton Family operates more than 50 dealerships in four states. What started as a small family-owned business has blossomed into one of the most forward-thinking dealership groups in the country.
Ed's business has grown to include 31 franchises - housed in 15 different locations - in three states. He owns domestic, import and high line franchises, and employs more than 1000 people throughout Illinois, Florida and Missouri. Four of Ed's five children have proudly joined him in pursuing the family business and have a hand in the company's day-to-day operations.

I am writing to say, I go back to the dealer to ask a couple questions regarding my new vehicle and Manager Tony Chippas always goes above and beyond what I’ve had a concern about or come in for. Everyone here is very accommodating. I needed an extra set of keys and was locked out of my vehicle. They were able to send someone on sight at my house and make a key. Not just a regular key but a remote start key fob. Impressed. Thank you a hundred times for making my life easier that day!!! Yet again, another A+ experience. More

Outstanding Wow!! What a great experience. Walking thru the door I was greeted by salesman Eilas Yacoub and he was very knowledgeable about the used truck I was l Wow!! What a great experience. Walking thru the door I was greeted by salesman Eilas Yacoub and he was very knowledgeable about the used truck I was looking to purchase even tho I was looking at a ford truck. After sitting with him for a few minutes we took it for a ride and I loved the truck. Even tho I mentioned my credit was not very good Eli introduced me to his manager Tony Chippas. I spoke with Tony for a little bit and he assured me he could get me approved so I agreed to buy the truck. After agreeing to buy the truck the finance guy Frank Alramli worked to get me the loan. After a short period of time Frank came out to get me with a smile on his face so I knew then it was a done deal. Overall a great experience with these guys!! They really worked hard to get me the truck. Thanks again guys!! More

I got the car for a great price and was even able to get a great warranty added onto the deal and still be within my budget. Worked with Mel as my salesman and he was kind, honest, and helpful in the p I recently went to Ed Napleton Honda to buy a used car - a Dodge Durango. Worked with Mel as my salesman and he was kind, honest, and helpful in the process. His boss, Tony Chippas the used car manager, was also very kind, honest, and helpful. I test drove the car, even overnight, then negotiated with them on price and ultimately walked away because I decided that buying a car at that time wasn’t the right decision for me. Even though, they had given me a very fair price. I’m grateful for the time and effort they put into my customer experience with them and I would absolutely go back to work with them again when I decide I’m back in the market for a vehicle. More
