Prices at cars.com are misleading. Came to see a Nissan Sentra 2013. Published at cars.com by the dealership at price 9,950. I had every intention of actually buying the car. That didn't help and I had to wait an HOUR until someone even approached me. Finally, I was approached by an agent from David Shaven Team. The agent showed me a disclaimer on the price: You have to be a former costumer of edison Nissan to get that price. Needless to say the disclaimer doesn't appear at cars.com nor was mentioned on the phone when I said I was interested in the car. The price is in fact 12,000: If you add taxes fees and all, the price is 14,546 (as quoted by the agent). I still said I was interested in the car. My only concern was if I can take the car to inspection outside the dealership. That made the agent nervous and he called his manager David Shaven. When David came, he added an extra thousand dollars to fees and all and claimed the price is 15,546. However, he said that inspection could be arranged as long as I bring up a local mechanic: I said fine and asked to see the car. They made me sit for an extra half an hour with a no-show on the car. Simply didn't bring it. When I said to the agent I'm going, he just nudged his head and couldn't care less. More
