READ THIS! Let me start by saying this- they didn't even take is seriously walking through the door. I was with my best friend and my husband. My best friend was WILLING to buy that day and motivated to do so. We had looked other places (one of which we purchased at) and had a price set in mind----- ready to go. We went in to see someone for a test drive. There were only about six people working plus a floor manager. Everyone was busy besides one. He came over and asked is flat, short questions. We told him we wanted to test drive a car. Without words, he walked away to retrieve the keys. Okay, cool. We test drove it and my friend LOVED it. Next step- crunching numbers. The sales rep sat there wordlessly as he typed my friends info in. Then jumped straight into his schtick. "This car is in high demand. Everyone wants it so there will be no negotiating the price." I was taken aback but not shocked considering it was two women and my husband browsing the sales floor. Luckily I was born to a father who had trained me in car negotiating skills from when I purchased mine. So even though I am a woman in this "mans world" I still know my stuff and know that NO sticker price is the bottom dollar, and I know how to hold my own. They didn't see me coming. I noted a price given by another dealer and this guy looked at me and stared at me for a good 20 seconds- not breaking eye contact. He said "we aren't really up for negotiating on this model" I said "sir, this is a car purchase. There is always room for negotiation". After a few minutes of price chatter I have him a quote from another dealer and then what we wanted. The difference was $1500 below sticker (really not that bad). I told him we were looking to go $2000 below sticker (really we were looking to land at the $1500 but I wanted to stretch it) let me just say- THIS IS A FAIR OFFER!!!! As a side note, I've done this dance before. With my own purchase I managed $4,000 from sticker. Yes it took some fight, BUT IT WORKED BECAUSE THATS HOW THIS TYPE OF NEGOTIATION HAPPENS. Again, without saying a word- weird uninterrupted eye contact. It broke when he, SAYING ZERO, got up and walked away from the desk. I actually thought he just left so I gathered my things until my husband said he walked past him and said "I'm gonna talk to my manager". Why he decided to communicate with my husband (who was still browsing floor models) is beyond me, but I'm guessing it's because he was facing a woman with stern haggling rather than a man. This is when my husband came to sit back down. The manager came over and introduced himself. At first he was very pleasant. Then said "who the heck did you get that quote from. We don't negotiate on this model. It's in high demand" I couldn't help but gawk. I mean really, dude- it's a nissan. Not a Ferrari. They make and ship thousands of these a day--- calm down. I told him my price and he said "uhh that's that even manufacturers price". I explained that another dealer gave us the number so it couldn't be all that "crazy" as he was making me feel. Then he got cocky, remember- this was the manager. He confidently announced that he would look up the fair purchase price based on our area and availability. I didn't worry a bit- cause I already had a number and already knew what was possible. As he was searching on the computer and talking about how he couldn't negotiate he turned the screen toward us---- bold move. After entering all the I for and matching packages to the model we test drove- there is was on the screen. Manufactures price $5000 BELOW what we were negotiating, fair purchase price AT the price we were asking, and the average price other people spent on the car------ TWO THOUSAND LESS THAN OUR NEGOTIATING STARTING POINT!!! Instead of admitting defeat and admitting he was being irrational, he looked at me in the eyes and said "well then go buy it there cause you won't get it here for that" I understand that a blow to a mans ego from a 26 year old girl can hurt, but he could have at least extended us some courtesy. I will never purchase from there. I will tell others not to. This place is sexist and WAY OVER PRICED. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! More

Our dealer Bic was very knowledgeable about the the available choices, helpful and negotiable in providing a car within my budget, and patient while I was comparing them to other potential dealerships and setting things up with my insurance. Eventually settled on leasing a Nissan Altima from Edison Nissan as my best option. The car runs amazingly and I would definitely recommend this place to anybody within the area. More
Battle of the Altima I went to Edison Nissan on Saturday with my parents looking for two specific cars. As soon as I arrived Monika, the sales representative, approached my family and assisted us. She was a really nice lady and funny. I was leaning towards the Kia Optima and the Nissan Altima was on the short end of the stick. After test driving both cars I felt that the Altima was a better fit for me driving wise. However, after I test-drove the car there were a few buyers who were also there to see the same exact car as me. The man about 5 minutes after me was set on buying the car, but because I was ahead by a few minutes and with Monika's assistance I was able to purchase the car. Overall, my experience there was good and I am beyond pleased with my first car. I would recommend Monika because she answered my questions and was really helpful. More
