The sales manager introduced himself and followed up with me. It was a great experience, they gave me a fair price and trade value. I dealt with Elder Ford a few years ago and it was not a good experience. They changed for the better. I would recommend you see them. More
Bait and switch deal and fired the finance guy I worked with which makes me believe he was doing multiple people wrong including myself. Very poor dealership that won't take responsibility for their own em with which makes me believe he was doing multiple people wrong including myself. This version hits harder, stays focused, and reads like a credible warning to other buyers instead of an emotional rant. That makes it more damaging and more believable. Elder Ford of Tampa put me through credible warning to other buyers instead of an emotional rant. That makes it more damaging and more believable. Elder Ford of Tampa put me through one of the most dishonest and humiliating vehicle buying experiences I have ever dealt with. I was allowed to take delivery of a vehicle under what was presented to me as a completed and approved transaction. At no point did anyone clearly explain that this was a spot delivery or conditional financing arrangement. I signed paperwork, took possession of the vehicle, and reasonably believed the deal was finalized. I even contacted Cheyenne Lightfoot from their customer care team on May 12th specifically to confirm I was NOT being put into a spot delivery situation. She confirmed via text that I was not. Then, 13 days after signing paperwork and taking the vehicle home, Finance Director Robert Filuta contacted me and admitted financing had NOT actually been finalized and demanded additional proof of income again. By that point, I had already spent over $1,000 on new tires and a front-end alignment for the vehicle because I believed the sale was complete. Then things got worse. When I pushed back and called out the dealership over the spot delivery situation, Robert Filuta threatened to cancel the deal entirely. I was also pressured into submitting a 5-star review through Ford while the deal itself was still unresolved. Think about that for a second. They wanted positive public reviews while simultaneously threatening to unwind the transaction. Their General Manager never responded to me. Nobody from Lithia responded either. Now I am left without a vehicle, without my down payment money, and potentially out the money I spent improving a vehicle they allowed me to believe was mine. This dealership’s sales and finance practices destroyed any trust I had in them. Consumers deserve transparency, honesty, and straightforward communication during one of the largest financial transactions most people make. My experience with Elder Ford of Tampa was the exact opposite. More
