Let’s face it, most of us do not appreciate dealing with auto dealerships and especially the sales staff. There are exceptions and Elk Grove Subaru is definitely one. My recent experience with Mike Carlson was exceptional. I communicated on line with Mike over a four day period and found him to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. Mike responded promptly to my questions and requests. Before meeting Mike the deal was already confirmed due to a very fair price and pleasurable negotiations. Once I arrived at Elk Grove Subaru my expectations were not diminished. Mike was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. I only met Mike and two other members of the Elk Grove staff, Brandon Vaughn and Donna Munoz. Let me say that after experiencing Brandon, Donna, and Mike their professionalism and pleasing attitude make it very easy for me to completely recommend Elk Grove Subaru. If you like being imprisoned this is the dealership for you. Went in to test drive a 2016 Legacy. Tareq was the salesman that helped me out. After test driving, told Tareq I would think about it and that I had Went in to test drive a 2016 Legacy. Tareq was the salesman that helped me out. After test driving, told Tareq I would think about it and that I had to leave to meet some people for lunch. He went to talk to his manager David Deleon. David said that he wanted to make an offer for a trade in for my old car (that as already in the process of being sold to a private buyer). Told him I could give him time for that. David came back and offered the same value that my old car was going to be sold for. Told him I couldn't trade it in since I already promised it to someone else. Told him I needed to leave to get lunch. David insisted I stay while he worked out another deal with his manager. I finally agreed to buy the car so that I could leave to get some food. At that point, I couldn't even negotiate because I was so shaking from hunger. David said it would only take another 45 min to finish the deal so I called my friends to come help me drive home the new car and my old car. They arrived and after 45 min with the Finance department I had to tell them to leave because it was taking much longer than promised. All in all, I spent over 4 hours there with no food, starving while David kept insisting that I stay every time I tried to leave. I was shaking and ready to pass out by the time I left there. And to top it all off, the car they sold me had a scratch on the bumper so I had to wait another half an hour for them to clean that up. This was the worst experience ever. It's like they kept me prisoner there, waiting so that they could take advantage of me in a weakened state. I had no issues with Tareq but David Deleon is as inconsiderate and shady as car salesmen come. If I could go back in time, I would never have walked into Elk Grove Subaru. More

Our contact, internet manager Mike Carlson, worked closely with us via email and a phone call or to to make sure we got what we wanted, let us know the price, and keep us up to date about the delivery of the car about 6 weeks later. He made sure the car was in great condition to be turned over to us as it took us about 10 days after delivery to make it to Elk Grove to pick it up. At pick-up Mike and the rest of the staff were friendly, professional, no-pressure, informational and paid attention to detail. Mike Lagandoan in finance was likewise no pressure, informative, and responsive to our questions which was great. Mike Carlson went over the car and its operating essentials and did a good job. Overall the experience was much much better than we had had at our home Subaru dealer in Redding. I'd go to Elk Grove Subaru for our next Outback for sure. More
