The evening I came to the dealership I was evaluating the viability and cost effectiveness of upgrading my 2011 Subaru Forester to a 2014 Forester Limited. (Note: I was looking for one of 2 specific colors - viability and cost effectiveness of upgrading my 2011 Subaru Forester to a 2014 Forester Limited. (Note: I was looking for one of 2 specific colors - which Elk Grove Subaru was the only dealer, out of the 6 closet dealers to me, that showed the Forester in stock online with the options I specifically wanted). I had been communicating with Mike Carlson on and off for about 4 or 5 days prior to my arrival. And, as Mike had said in his emails to me, he made a point to be available specifically for me at the time I arrived (just as we had previously agreed to). Mike was respectful, professional, and listened to what I wanted and was important to me. He was persistent in working with me in a manner as not to exceed the budget I wanted to stay within, and, though I originally had not planned on purchasing the Touring Edition, Mike and Brandon were able to exceed my expectations by making it possible for me to purchase my new vehicle (which is the exact color I wanted and contains not only the options I wanted - it also has extras that are very nice to have) at a monthly cost that is very close to the payments I had been making on my previous 2011 Forester. After years of purchasing only used vehicles, and this being only the 2nd new vehicle in 33 years, Mike and Brandon made this new car purchase one of the best car buying experiences I've ever had. Therefore, even though the dealership is more than 20 miles from my home, I intend to have Elk Grove Subaru continue with the after sales service on my vehicle as well... My hat goes off to Zach H. I visited another Subaru dealership prior to seeing Zach. I was “prequalified” at the other dealership. I was not even taken seriously. Best experience I've ever had buying a new car. Carl was super knowledgeable and easy to work with. He was able to answer all my questions and shared useful information.
