Worst experience ever. We were talked down too by sales man. He argued with us and called me and my wife down too. He also held our keys so we couldn't leave. By the end he was almost yelling at us. I was looking for a car and decided to try online. I absolutely hate dealing with salesmen of old and playing that game of negotiating a price. Mike Carlson of Elk Grove Suburu was the first to contact me of several dealers regarding the quoted prices. From the beginning Mike seemed to care about what I wanted in a new car. we had several back and forth with email and phone at the same time I was getting calls and email from other dealerships. Mikes contacts were always friendly with no pressure. The car I wanted based on color was sold the day before I was to see Mike personally. He called me up the the bad news and I decided to come into the shop anyway to see what else might be available. We met talked walked around and he showed me that I could afford a better version for the same price should I decide to wait for the car delivery in a few weeks. Again no pressure just facts. A quick phone call to confer with my wife and we decided to by the car. Clean simple no hassel. We got more than we wanted and a brand new car to boot, all because of Mike Carlson. He responded to my email very quickly and answered all of my questions directly and with exactly the information I had requested. I asked if he'd order a specific color and package for me, he said he would. I needed to know how much I should expect to pay, so I asked him: how much will it cost, out-the-door? Mike responded with a number. I hadn't had any luck with these questions talking to other dealers, usually once I asked about price they would stop responding all together. Mike earned my business with his honesty and integrity. I started searching for a new Subaru and went to two other dealerships first. The fist one Maita was closer to the house the second one was in Roseville close to a friends house. Maita did not have anybody working that could find the vehicle I was looking for and did not have anyone certified to give me a quote on the vehicle I was looking to trade in. I went to Roseville when visiting a friend thinking I would get something accomplished but I was wrong. We walked around floor for about ten minutes before anyone bothered asking if we needed help, once a representative started assisting us he was told by his supervisor to go help out another customer that had just arrived, even though we had an appointment. The second representative took down the information from me and stated they had the car I was looking for but could not find it because his manager took it to San Jose for a convention but could have it back for me to buy, with all those miles on it. When I mentioned I was looking for an appraisal on my vehicle he instantly told me to come back another day because they were too busy to help me in that department. Yes I was turned away. I came home deflated and was about to give up but I saw there was a dealership in Elk Grove also and sent my request to and within minutes Bruce Cunningham called and e-mailed me with a car he had on the lot meeting my request. When I arrived my family and I were greeted as soon as we walked into the showroom floor. Bruce was kind enough to work with me and answer all my questions. I felt that the Subaru dealership was looking to get my business and did everything possible for me to walk out of there with the car I wanted. Mike Lagandon was very kind and helpful as well.
