I went in to trade in my 16 year old Daughters Chevy Aveo for a 2012 Soul. I have one too! We are sold on Souls and this is the dealership to buy them at!!! Don't think about going anywhere else but here if you want a Kia. The finance department, Bob is a pleasure to work with they work to get you the best deal, from all their hard work with that last time I was there purchasing my last Soul, 6 months ago this purchase my interest rate was 2 points lower. Can't be upset about that. I had previously been a Chevy person all my life but now am in love with the Soul and have converted over my Daughter who is in love with her new car too! My husband and I were looking for a new 2013 Kia Sorrento and wanted to trade in our 2006 Ford Freestyle. I was stuck in quite a dilema last week when I traveled across the state to vist a friend in Spring Hill. I had just had an oil change on my 2004 Passat which only had 86,000 miles on it. On SR 19, my oil light came on and very shortly the "STOP-SHUT OFF ENGINE" light flashed before my eyes. I stopped immediately and contacted AAA to come and get me and my dead car. I was fortunate to be towed to a wonderful auto repair shop where they informed me that my turbo engine was damaged and repairs would be quite expensive..possibly in the thousands. I had bought my car in the hopes of getting well beyond the 100,000 mile mark, so you can imagine my disappointment when I heard that news. The car was repaired enough for me to hobble back to Palm Coast, with the advice:"Dump the car as soon as possible!" I had not planned on buying a new car at this time, on a holiday weekend, with guests arriving the next night. I spent the next day on-line researching cars, reading all the reviews about different manufacturers and models. It seemed that there are so many new cars since I bought my car 8 years ago, and it was very confusing. So, because I trusted my mechanic in Palm Coast, I asked his opinion about the cars I had been researching. He said,"If you want a good car that will last..get a KIA" and go to Family KIA in St. Augustine if you want a great deal. I was not familiar with KIAS, so again I went back to the internet and researched them. I was pleasantly surprised about the very good reviews the Optima had gotten and the positive reviews about Family KIA. Many saalesmen from different dealerships called me looking to sell me a car, and until Chris Ferguson called, I had the same pit in my stomach I always have when dealing with car salesman. It always seemed like such a project buying a new car. I talked with Chris, explained my situation to him, and he asked what kind of car and options I was looking for. I was stressed at the time he called, as I was trying to get a ride to the Jacksonville airport to pick up a friend. I had no workable car, and it seemed everyone had left town for the holidays. I was getting panicky about my predicament and he then suggested that if I could get a ride to St. Augustine, I could pick up an Optima from him, pick up my friend and keep it for the night to see how I liked it. And, he stressed, if it was not the car for me, there was no obligation to buy it. I am originally from Connecticut, and never in my life was I ever allowed to take a test drive without a salesman with me, and NEVER have I ever been offered a car to keep for the night. Needless to say, I was very impressed. To make a long story short, I loved the car, decided to take it and the rest is history. Chris got everything together for me, showed me how all the great features worked, did most of the paperwork and within 24 hours I went from being carless and panicky, to having a great car with more options on it than I ever had in any car. Everyone at Family KIA that I dealt with, and especially Chris, was very friendly, helpful, informative, and most of all efficient. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a great car at a good price with no high pressure tactics. When I decide to get another car, I will defintely return to Family KIA. More
When shopping for a new car, most of us are looking for the bottom-line best price for the exact vehicle that we want. As customers, we are often willing to give up convenience and dealer friendliness in o the bottom-line best price for the exact vehicle that we want. As customers, we are often willing to give up convenience and dealer friendliness in order to get to that ultimate price goal. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find Family Kia and Joey Cassata, Internet sales manager, in the Jacksonville vicinity. After trips to other dealers, we found that they were unwilling to meet our specifications or price and even went so far as to say “we only have a manual in stock but your new teenage driver should learn to drive one anyway” when we were looking for an automatic model. Joey latched on to our specific needs and after a week and a half of searching for our high-demand vehicle, he was able to locate and deliver EXACTLY what we were looking for at the EXACT price. When it came time to deliver our car, the dealership exceeded our expectations on a quick and unusual transaction process in order for us to surprise our daughter with her new car. It was clean, ready to go and we found nothing on inspection that needed attention. With a full tank of gas we were ready to cruise! Family Kia has kept in contact with us since the sale to make sure that we are still happy and satisfied customers. I cannot endorse this dealership highly enough and would absolutely recommend them to a friend or family member looking for a new Kia! More
On 2012 Sorento although the service staff is friend, I had very bad service experiences. These 4 different service items took numerous returns to the dealer ship to fix as follows: 1) dealer installed had very bad service experiences. These 4 different service items took numerous returns to the dealer ship to fix as follows: 1) dealer installed wind deflector - after installation, I had to bring the car back two (2) more times for them to get it fixed finally. On the 2nd, the tech argued with me it was correct. When I showed the service writer the issue, they say they had installed the brackets reversed, it was corrected. (Good thing I figured this out - the dealer should have!) 2) dealer installed trailer hitch - after installation I had to bring the auto back again and show the dealer that had to correct the heat shield at the muffle and the hitch wiring was loose and not installed and shielded. The instructions that came with the hitch was not followed. 3) foam weather stripping on the windshield - after delivery of the vehicle, I noticed foam weather-stripping push out from the windshield and coming into the cabin. 2nd & 3rd return trips yielded the tech trying to stuff back under the trim. After we called Kia, they advised the repair was not correct - that the dealer had to pull the dash to repair. Appt was made, car back the next day. Update: windshield chipped by rock caused replacement by independent glass repair. When the windshield was removed, we found that the weather-stripping was not repaired only stuffed back in. The windshield tech attempted to correct like the rest of the windshield. To be continued - another call going into KIA. 4) right low-beam headlight not working - after repair we were told loose wire. After 3-days, the headlight does not work again. Here we go again. I have placed a call to the Service Writer and Service Manager. As of several hours later - no return call. I cannot understand why this dealer cannot install it or fix it right the 1st time. Not only does return trips proved to be a bad customer experience, waste time, and I’ll bet; causes the dealer unnecessary expense that they should not bear by doing it correctly the 1st time. More
Best auto buying experience we have ever had. We found the vehicle we wanted on line and called Joey to let him know that we were driving down from Jacksonville. After we decided to buy it, while we were waiting for the final paperwork, Joey took us back outside to our vehicle and explained in detail all the features and how they worked. He even set up my cell phone with the blue tooth. Joey was great! ....very straight forward, no pressure sale tactics, and fair. I will be telling all my friends that going to Family Kia of Saint Augustine is well worth the drive. I just re-read what I wrote and think it sounds like a commercial, but this is how I really feel about our experience there. If you don't live in Saint Augustine, take the time to drive there and visit Family Kia before you purchase anywhere else. More

Searched their web site for both new and used Sorentos on a Saturday morning, exchanged a couple of e-mails with Joey Cassata, went to the dealership in the a their web site for both new and used Sorentos on a Saturday morning, exchanged a couple of e-mails with Joey Cassata, went to the dealership in the afternoon and drove home in a 2012 Sorento the same afternoon! Our salesman, Joey Cassata, was/is awesome! We knew we had some credit issues and explained them to Joey right up front. He never batted an eye and treated us like royalty throughout the entire purchase process! I've been back to Family Kia to purchase a few accessories and had them installed ~ the people in the Parts and Service departments were wonderful, too! I would/will most certainly recommend Family Kia and Joey! More
