Findlay Toyota Prescott - Service Center

Mr. Hixon, I have been a loyal Toyota customer for over 25 years because of the reliability of the vehicles and the service provided until now. In March of 2024 I moved from Phoenix to Dewey Arizona and ha 25 years because of the reliability of the vehicles and the service provided until now. In March of 2024 I moved from Phoenix to Dewey Arizona and had a 2018 Rav 4 that I loved but because of where I moved being on a dirt road my Rav would get stuck so I visited Findlay Toyota and traded my vehicle in on a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 which I love. I was only provided 1 key and my sales person said they would provide another key and key fob which never happened. On May 19, 2025 I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and to diagnose why my AC was blowing hot air. My service advisor was David Rodarte and my technician was R. Broadbent and I advised him it was my only vehicle and I had no other option but to wait at the dealership and was provided no other options. After 6.5 hours later I was told I my compressor and clutch was bad and it wasn't under warranty and they would have to order it from California and the cost would be $1,700 which I paid. I brought my vehicle back on May 25th, 2025 and after waiting another 7.5 hours at the dealership my compressor and clutch were replaced and I was told everything was working correctly. I also asked about the extra key and key fob that I was promised when I bought the vehicle and was willing to pay for it at this point even though I was lied to by the sales person. I was provided the extra key at no charge but was told they couldn't provide the key fob because it wouldn't program and I would have to go elsewhere. As soon as I starting driving on the road my AC was blowing hot again. On June 4th, 2025 I brought my vehicle back for the same issue and 4 hours later I checked in with David (since there was no communication from him) and was told they evacuated the system twice and are still having the same issue and are having trouble finding a diagram for my vehicle that your dealership sold to me a year ago and it might be another bad compressor and to wait another hour. After an hour I saw my vehicle sitting in the outside of the service department and went to David again for an update and was told now its a condenser problem. I asked how much now for that and David responded I don't know and will get back with you tonight. I still have not heard from him and don't expect to. I have spent 20 hours sitting in your dealership and 4 days off of work only to not be communicated with and my problem unresolved. I don't know what else to do here and don't think customers should be treated this way. Thank you for your time reading this and I hope we can come to a resolution soon. Went in for regular service on my PriusV and came out with a new RAV4 hybrid. The price was in my range and all of the staff at the dealership were top notch so I went ahead with the trade. Working with "Hoov" to make the car purchase was easy and I was able to drive away with my new car the same day. There was no pressure and the buying experience was genuinely enjoyable. I would highly recommend Alan Hoover and this dealership to anyone. More

The service department directed me to Alan Hoover when I asked if Toyota had any all-electric cars. Alan showed me the car and answered all my questions. I had my Prius Prime in back in August for a tire repair. I brought my letter for second smart key to be ordered. Javier in service was our service technician and he said he'd order it and call when it cam I brought my letter for second smart key to be ordered. I called last week, 6 weeks since my appt and spoke with Javier, since he never called me to let me know if it came in. He said "yes we have them can you bring it in next Tuesday?" I said yes, and today we went in to get our second smart key programmed. After waiting in lobby for 45 minutes he calls me, doesn't come out to find me in his lobby, to tell me he has bad news, they don't have the correct smart key for my Prius Prime. I questioned why he told me they did last week when I called and he scheduled an appt for me? He said "well they must of had one then". So I asked him why it was not put aside for my appt then? He said he's not sure. Are you kidding me? So I rearranged my schedule to come in today for a second smart key only to find out they didn't have one for my car? He said he could order one and it would be in in a couple days. So I'm suppose to reschedule a time convenient for them when my smart key comes in, no thank you! I won't be going back to Findlay Toyota in Prescott, AZ unless they find competent service technicians who follow up with their customers like they promise and make sure they have the right parts before scheduling a customer to come in for an appt.
