We really enjoyed dealing with Franky and AJ at Folsom Lake Hyundai. They work hard to get into the Tucson Hybird of our choice. There was no no high pressure sales. Everyone we dealt with from the sal Lake Hyundai. They work hard to get into the Tucson Hybird of our choice. There was no no high pressure sales. Everyone we dealt with from the salesperson to the F&I guy were very laid back and talked with us like family. This is the second we have purchased from Folsom Lake Hyundai and even though the staff has changed it was still a great experience . More
I don't know about new cars, but if you buy a used car from them, be extremely careful. In my case, they told me that the car was in perfect working order. Ford Explorer 2017. But before the sale, neither from them, be extremely careful. In my case, they told me that the car was in perfect working order. Ford Explorer 2017. But before the sale, neither the timing belt nor the water pump were replaced, they were not checked, although they were already faulty. And these components must be replaced after 5 years of use. Any mechanic knows this. Neither the condition of the brake pads (they were worn out to zero), nor the battery, which was all in leaks, nor a dozen minor breakdowns. By the way, there was an interesting moment when their mechanic told me that the condition of the brake pads is nonsense and you can drive without them. It was a little shock for me to hear such nonsense from a mechanic from a large, respectable-looking auto center. I thought that he would also add that brakes are not needed at all and that they were invented by cowards. I agree, you should have taken the car for an independent examination before buying. But that's $250-400. And I deliberately decided to buy a car from a reputable center with a good reputation (that's what's written about this center on the Internet) and not from a semi-legal site. And that's why I was relaxed and didn't expect deception and fraud. And in vain. After 5 months, the car began to require serious repairs for about a third of the price. And when I came to their center with this, they also continued to lie to me with smiles that the car passed the inspection. Maybe they did. But then their inspection consisted only of cleaning the interior. They left the car for inspection and said that they could repair it for almost $5,000. That's the story. There are photos and documents. But now there is no way to legally dig into this issue. Yes, it was essentially a deception, but everything was verbal. All I asked them for when I came was that I didn't need junk, but a completely technically sound car that had undergone pre-sale preparation. I also asked for a one-year warranty on the engine and transmission. They promised all this with smiles. And they showed me a blue Ford Explorer for $17,000, which they assured me met my requirements for a car. Unfortunately, I do not yet speak English perfectly. And when registering, they showed me the "warranty" I asked for, but it turned out to be a warranty on tires and scratches. They also included in the price a huge number of additional payments and services, many of which were duplicated by insurance or by each other and at the same time were not necessary. Be careful with this, too. Remember that you can't trust a single word of the employees of this center. Check everything. And if it is quite possible to hold this center liable for additional services (the case of three lemons), I am doing this now. then in the case of deception about the quality of the car, you risk getting a normal car only on paper instead of a normal car. But in reality, it will be junk. The repair of which will suck a third of the price of the car out of you in the first six months of ownership. Be careful with these people, I work there. Don't trust a single word they say. Check everything yourself. and don't be fooled by the apparent solidity and respectability of their company. As my case showed, between respectability and a couple of dollars that can be earned on the client's trust, they will choose a couple of bucks. Despite dozens of messages in correspondence with them, only ordinary employees always answered me. Of course, they gave me the manager's contact. And I sent him a letter. But he did not deign to answer me. Moral: if something looks beautiful and solid on the outside, it does not mean that it is not rotten inside. But there are many other auto centers that, I am sure, value their business reputation and will never exchange it for a couple of bucks obtained by outright deception. Protect yourself and your loved ones from such situations. Good luck 🤞 More
