Recall resolution beyond the call My Honda Element was included in a recall that involved correcting an issue with the airbag. The procedure required access to the glovebox. When I bought the car from an out-of-town used car lot several years ago, no one had been able to open the glovebox. The service manager at Frank Brown told me they asked their mechanics if anyone might have experience with similar situations. One mechanic stepped up to give it a try. He discovered it was not a lock problem, but a latch problem. They removed the lock (with my permission) and fixed the airbag, and didn’t charge me anything! There wasn't’ any money in the glovebox, but the original owner’s papers and manuals have been very valuable! Thanks, Frank Brown!!! More
