I took my car in for a routine oil change. I did not specifically ask them to check the air filter, but I assumed they would. A couple of weeks later, my son was checking things and showed me the air filter and it was extremely dirty. We live in an environment with a lot of blowing sand and dust. I wish they had let me know at the dealer it needed to be changed. My son went to AutoZone and replaced the air filter
