Sour experience for new car purchase. I received a quote for a 2015 CRV EX AWD in writing from another dealership in town. I went up to Frank Leta to see what they could do for me, having I received a quote for a 2015 CRV EX AWD in writing from another dealership in town. I went up to Frank Leta to see what they could do for me, having never read their reviews. The dealership told me flat out that the quote had to be wrong because CRV's in the trim go for more than that. They printed out these True Car reports and tried to convince my wife and I that we were wrong. They also told us that the color we wanted was unavailable within 250 miles and was impossible to get. We told them that the other dealership promised they had it. We called the other dealership, they confirmed they had the car AGAIN and they even lowered their offer by $500. The salesman tried to convince me to get a color on the lot, told me he had to meet his quota since it was the last day of the month, and finally met me on price. He refused to give me a price for my trade and asked what he could do for me to buy right then. I refused to give any pricing as any bi I received I would have to take to another dealer to give them a chance. The salesman hated this and got puffy eyed, raised his voice, and got mean. He finally gave me the KBB value of my trade after telling me it was only worth a couple hundred dollars, which is $1500 less than KBB. I once again called the other dealership, and they matched everything over the phone and confirmed again they had the color in stock. Frank Leta then pulled up some program to try and weasel us into believing the other dealership was lying. the program showed that the other dealership didn't have the color in stock. I called again and the salesman at the other dealership said anyone can filter the car search and leave any dealership off of results, which is what Frank Leta did to try to get me to order a car through them and not negotiate any further. I told Frank Leta I was going to go to the other dealership to look at the car. They refused to give me my key and told me to take one of their CRV's out for a drive and lunch to think it over. My wife and I took the car for about 5 minutes to talk to the other dealer, settled the offer, and then took the car back. Luckily we were able to get out keys back after saying we promised not to go to any other dealer that day! Obviously we didn't buy from Frank Leta. They downright lie during their sales pitch. I can only imagine what they are like when discussing actual service to the car. Avoid at all costs. More
